Thanks! Looked it up and did some research. It seems those mounts are used for lighter side awnings... Was wondering if anyone has used something similar for heavier 270 awnings.

Hello, I currently have a 2005 LR3 that has crossbars. The crossbars, I use occasionally for mounting a roof top box that we use on family trips. A friend of mine, with a GX470, showed me his 270 OVS awning and I immediately wanted one as it would be useful for me not just in camping trips...
