Still available? Are you headed towards SoCal any time soon? Know anyone local who can install it? I'm dropping my van off at ContraVans in Denver for a build this fall, but was trying to have the top on before that. Shoot me a message, maybe we can work something out.
No one from the Bay Area to San Diego needs a high roof for 30% less than Fiberine? Order is going in on Friday and currently shipping to Stockton, Ca. Get in now and save 2k on shipping.
Good morning!
If you're in the Southern California area, and you've been shopping for a high roof, then this is for you.
I wanted a high roof for my e350 extended, and for months I've been hawking craigslist and facebook marketplace and car-parts looking for a suitable donor. I had a spot in...
Like it says, I’m looking for a fixed used high top for my van.
I have a 2008 extended passenger. I’ve found a few of the 16” extensions netting 5’5” inside, but I’m optimistic I can find a 20” or 24” fixed high roof so I don’t have to hunch!
I scour car-parts and check Facebook marketplace...
I
I’ve been looking at “roof” or “roof panel”, but mostly I just called a bunch of junkyards. Found a couple of the 16” or so ones most common on wheelchair vans which give you about 5’5” or so of headroom. I think I’m going to hold out a bit longer.
I also search Facebook marketplace for...
Does anyone have a line on a used Fiberine top? Maybe a van they saw on CL which was damaged and cheap but had a top, or a wrecking yard? Struggling to pull the trigger at 6000$ and they won't even let me self install it anymore, but we definitely need a high top for our van! Ideally 24" aero /...
This is a great thread. I just bought a 2008 e350 extended, and I’m making peace with no 4x4. The controlling partner and I decided a high roof was 99% more useful than 4x4, as it would be used every single time we take it out.
My plan is a Trutrack out back, and some good tires. I’ll upgrade...
Definitely 2wd. I obviously want 4wd. I'm currently making peace with either a limited slip or electronic locker for the rear and keeping it two wheel drive for a while. I just can't justify 15-25k for 4wd. I am loosely researching a Ujoint kit and leaving it 2wd in case I want to upgrade later...
Not to derail this further, but I just scooped up a 2008 e350 with only 73k miles for 7500$ including all auction fees. It had simply been replaced with a newer 15pax model. I intended to turn it into a cool camp rig ? in this case it has been lovingly maintained and lightly used so there are...
I appreciate the feedback and I’ll keep that in mind. I’d like to keep this on topic with any one who has any actual experience with the company.
I’m not in the business of bashing people who thus far have been a great company to work with.
Thanks!
I'll update this assuming I go forward. So far the owner, Aiden, has been fantastic. It's a strange process though. I appreciate the 1 stop shop, but I find / found it hard to commit to vehicles I'm not personally able to inspect. It's a strange feeling! But - he's been awesome to work with and...
