I’ve been using Tmax for 10+ years on 3 different 4Runners. In all cases I used system with a factory lead acid vehicle battery and an auxiliary AGM battery without any noticeable issues. I’ve transferred the AGM battery between vehicles and on only my second one.
Hopefully the lithium battery is not in the engine bay as under hood temps will exceed the max recommended temp for lithium. And for charging you will be better going to a DC-to-DC charger that has a charging profile for lithium chemistry. This will be safer and best for the life of the battery.
As already been said, charging times are a big issue for most people. However, this will improve as the next big change in EV is battery tech. That is where the next major breakthrough is going to be. The technology in our vehicles today didn’t happen overnight. Nor did the infrastructure that...
I have a 5th gen 4runner with Dobinson setup with some added weight in both front and rear. No complaints with mine. Check out their 4th gen thread on T4R.

Thanks to everyone for the input. It seems a lot of people just let them run. When I posted my question here, I also sent the question to dometic and they replied today:
“The ambient temperature data is only a recommendation and your fridge will still function if the temperature reached below...
I just got a Dometic Cfx35w and thinking of leaving it in my vehicle for day today use. Will be powered off second battery so not concerned with power requirements. But I was wondering what those who leave their fridges in vehicles day to day..... what do you do when the ambient temps drop...
The simplest things seem to be so difficult sometimes. Your request on basic dimensions of a product is something the company should be able to provide so easily if they are involved in the least bit with the design, contract manufacturing, and QC, which they should be since their name is on the...
Congrats on the new 4Runner! Much better than Explorer! I made the same move years ago from an ‘02 Explorer to ‘06 4runner and never looked back. Now have ‘14 Limited 4runner. Tons of information on upgrades on T4R forum is 5th gen section. First thing may be to consider better tires for your...
Longtime lurker, first post.....I am starting to plan a trailer build and possibly considering using a m101 frame as a base. What is the width and length of the frame only? This is not including the box or tongue. And are overall frame dimensions different between A1's, A2's, and A3's...
