I bet the rust came from Washington (state) where it resided for a year before I got it :) And apologies for the bumper damages, those were mainly mine. I had fixed that bumper and bumper lights several times, they just kept on breaking :)

That is very impressive. I am actually very curious on how it sounds with all those improvements, as the noise it had was always something I disliked - I prefer quiet :)

Nice, looking awesome with the fixing-up of all the small things. Those 2nd row seats were hell to even adjust, so glad you managed to fix it. :) And yeah, the driver side seat was pretty messed up. The electronics for it were acting up too hence me disconnecting it. I was planning on replacing...

One last update from me on this thread - I ended up selling my Montero to a fellow Montero enthusiast. I am certain we'll see more of it from him :) Thanks everybody who has helped me with feedback and help with this car!

Unfortunately the transmission is pretty much done for. As this is not an easy fix, and I have no time/money to fix this up, I am going offer this car up for sale. I am certain someone else can either fix it up and have a great '03, or use it for it's parts.

A few tech issues popped up. The transmission ended up acting up (no longer switching to P, D or anything), but that fixed itself as the car was pushed on a flatbed to take to the mechanic. Further checking is being done however. Additionally, provided the transmission is fine, there is a valve...

Not much going on lately, replaced a cracked battery clam-down as I prefer my battery not to bounce around inside the engine bay. But besides that, it is up for a maintenance round soon as it is hitting the 200k mark. More work was done on the '98 monty however.

For me it was the door sensors - check to see if those pins that depress when you close the door (the same one that governs the interior lights) are depressed fine. For me it was that the rubber cover had gotten loose, and it was no longer pressing it down enough.

I do really enjoy the KO2s, they are more quiet and perform pretty well both on and off road. As for my camera's, I had them installed, I'll give an update on that soon. But the short of it is that I got two cameras off Amazon and a small monitor that has two inputs, of which the primary one...
