Must say nice vehicle you have there. I just got GENIII and have a quick question for you, How you like OME HD suspension. Im looking to upgrade and primary do exploring and soft off road not much big rocky trails and i cant decide between MD and HD set up but for sure i want more ground...
Great progress mate....with pictures it could have something to do with the size try to maybe make them smaller like maybe 1MB instead of 2MB (or whatever your camera is taking), just try to experiment a bit.
I'm praying for you to car gods for this to be the last of your worries,I have 315,000 km on mine now and no major problems with the drive line. Like guys said it must have not been look after. Great thread you have here, keep it coming.
Mine did the sort of the same thing, one day i pulled to the store and when I came out it would not idle, i would have to press the gas pedal and keep the rpm up for it not to die. I did adjust the throttle cable to make it idle but now after about one year it will still not idle by itself. Now...
I was looking at the xterra as well and for now everything is still in the air. What i like about LR3 is the size not to big and not small. After xterra is nissan armada and that is huge to me. I have read on the forums about Lr3 and they need a lot of TLC but can be good and reliaeble. Our...
Im thinking it should be fine as well axles are back on with new boots and there is no clicking noises so far. I wish I could put manual hubs but this thing had all-mode-4wd and from reading about manual hubs I can't install them with this system.
well I will come out :) and say that maybe by next year we (me and my lady) are planing to get Land Rover LR3 they are right size for us and now they are cheap enough for a regular guy to get one.
no sloppy play at all and they wore not dry as well. Like i mentioned the one boot was split only for a week or so and there was still plenty of grease in there however it was more like a thick soup then grease it was runny so for sure very old. There was no knocking while turning or anything...
So this happend
I know it happened within last week as I did replace inner and outer tie rods 2 weeks ago and that was not there so I decided to replace all the boots and the axle has some overheating signs. Do you guys think that bad or just put some good quality grease in there and be done...
That is a huge help we have already snow up here and at night drops to -10 and my garage is not heated but im hoping axles will be last thing for now and other stuff can wait till spring.
I feel your pain I also have a rear main seal leak and Im not looking forward to that and recently one of the axle boots give up so I have that up coming shortly. Always something fun to do.
