Yes the trailer came with it and the 2nd mog also.
Both came with 4 point torsion subframe . The trailer is an air braked trailer but no torsion frame on that. And both mogs came with the standard nz defence PTO.
Well it has been a long time so an update is needed. The 1835 Actros got as far as finishing the torsion subfame. When the NZ defence decided to Auction off some of there unimog 1700L's which i just could not pass up on and ended up getting one which has now become the new build. Urrggggg...
Yes. If u carry a star computer u can diagnose faults and maybe even fix a simple problem but when they go wrong. They really go wrong and almost never a mechanical fix.
The actros auto box is not realy an auto but more of a pre select your gear with the selector and then dip the clutch to engage it. Yes u still have a clutch peddle to use and u still need to do the gears it is just very electronic rather than a mechanical manual.
They are actually nice to drive...
The auto did not like very wet conditions and could and would loose reverse on occasion.
I purchased mine coz i was going to beable to maintain it world wide. Fuel was 20 to 40 ltr to the 100k. But depends on how and where u drove.
Manual is a good box no issues on mine.
I cannot comment on it...
These do stick with inactivity . 2 years will do it. B4 u start stripping things try the old lump hammer tapping around the area it lives while some one turns it on and off, you will loose some paint but it might free it enough to get it moving again . Failing that it is a case of opening it up...
I have an 1835 2001 modle and i would not think you would need to mess with the gears as it will sit at 100kph electronically limited. All day up hill down hill it makes no odds . Well down hill u can find ur self doing alot more.
Hey you said you have replaced or tested the fuel pump and that was fine but have you checked the fuel line for damage if it is sucking air it might not get the fuel it needs and shut down. Might be worth swapping out the fuel line for a temp line in a small pot of fuel.
