    2017 Jeep JKU Rubicon Build/Adventures

Looks good! I modified my Tuffy box with a button keypad to get rid of the key. Turned out great! Last post - http://forum.expeditionportal.com/threads/132895-Operation-OverlanderZ-Lysol-s-2014-JKUR-Build/page6?highlight=tuffy

    WK2?

Have a WK2 and a Wrangler. Both are great vehicles for what they are intended for. Though, I feel better dragging the bottom of the wrangler over rocks than the WK2. In regards to cargo space... We just found out recently that we can pack as much crap into the Wrangler as we can in the WK2...

How many owners think the new electronic shifter is better than old ?

Interesting in that my wife's '13 WK2 has the standard shifter. lol. Dealer "talk/chat" is the worst. I've been an *** the last few times when buying a car and say "I've done my own research so I don't need your elevated opinions on anything". Pretty much just sit there and shut the @Q#$ up so I...

    Relay/Switch and Fusebox

I agree with this. A switch is too easy to turn off for the fridge. I currently just have a set of anderson connectors that I plug/unplug when needed. With a switch, all it would take is an accidental bump from myself or the misses and all of our food is gone on a long trip (and yet it would be...

Do you feel the need to be upset when you encounter an armed camper in the woods?

Guns and Opinions. These two go together like... well actually they don't... I'll bite though. Just because someone I see has a weapon doesn't show me they are smart, intelligent, and have the experience to handle it. So a partial yes in that I get on edge because I now have to be more alert...

in need of a new camp axe or hatchet

I have the Fiscars X7 hatchet. While it does a great job initially at cutting small branches and whatnot, the edge gets rough and uneven quick. I have to make sure I have my hatchet sharpener with me and even then, I have to shave off so much metal to just get a decent edge back on it... I wish...

Sealed box for a BlueSea Fuse block and relays

How tall is that box? Also, how much clearance do you have on top of it with the hood closed?

    Need help choosing off-road lights!

What about Hella's Rallye 4000? They are 100W halogen lights that you can get in Eurobeam pattern and can also have a running light option. http://www.myhellalights.com/index.php/products/auxiliary-lamps/halogen-lamps/rallye-4000/rallye-4000-black/ the H12560031 model number is Eurobeam and...

    Post Pic's of your Jeep

Thanks. I was wondering how you got the drill bit to go in at a 90-degree. My OCD wouldn't accept anything less than that. Looks good!! ... and guess I need to get a drill press... lol. I've always wanted one anyway.

    Engine swap and sloped driveway?

Can you role it backwards until the rear tires are in the notch at the edge of the driveway and the road? Or even better yet, spin it around so the front tires are resting in the notch between the edge of the driveway and the road. that way, the engine lift is on the flatter road.

    High quality hand held (FRS?GMRS)?

Recommendations for a semi DD that can double as an expo rig?

Do you like Wranglers? A decent 2008 JK Unlimited X model goes for in the teens. Will give you a decent 4WD setup without all the fancy drivetrain doodads and with a small lift, you could put a set of 32" Rubicon takeoffs for cheap.
