Next project was creating a new spare tire sub-frame on the back door of the camper.
You can read about it here: http://landroamer.blogspot.ch/2017/01/constructing-new-spare-tire-carrier-on.htmhttp://landroamer.blogspot.ch/2017/01/constructing-new-spare-tire-carrier-on.html
Hum... not many posts lately, but I worked on the truck this summer... blogposts will be made during winter :-)
Made one post about creating and fitting a new battery rack for my truck.
See my blog post here: https://landroamer.blogspot.ch/2016/10/constructing-new-battery-rack.html

Look forward to read further posts and future trips you'll do with this Perentie.
Hi Amy and Richard,
Great decision that you made!
Aside from the route, next big decision is the type of vehicle you select.
Based on my experience (travelling for 15 months in roof tents) I would suggest for a RTW trip, that you select a vehicle with a closed cabin (or a van).

Hi Shayne,
Nice project and built!
It should give you a nice rig to travel to many places. I shall be following your trip afterwards.
Having "lived" in roof tents for 15 months of travel, for my current vehicle (planning a Round The World trip) I decided that I wanted a closed cabin. - I...
I was able to stay 2 days at the show, WOW, there was so much to see!
Here are a few comments to this post and to the show itself.
- Wheel size, indeed most vehicles (except for some real trucks) have small wheels and low ground clearance.
In fact, most vehicles exposed are more "4 wheel...
