265/70 is only an inch up from stock isnt it? I have them on my 2006 dc with no lift and have zero issues, i believe the dcs have larger front wheel wells though. Unless your going to offroad a lot I'd start with smaller then move up if necessary. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

Its your truck but if it were mine I'd lay some weld in-between the bracket halves to be safe. Looks like you can do the sides and the top part by the bolt which would add a good amount of structure. Definitely leave the bolt in there though.

Took me 5 months to find my 06 DC at a decent price but it was worth it. Also got lucky since seller was interested in a cash no BS buyer. Def watch out for frame rust. Imo its well worth going with a 05-06 for the 5 spd. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

Just to throw in my 1.5 cents. I'm still on the OE suspension on mine but it has 136k+ miles so will need to replaced soon. Although we don't do anything extreme I'm thinking about upgrading instead of new OE stuff. I had 5100s on my 4Runner, they worked but were a little stiff on the road...

Sound like the metal tube presses into another tube? If so, I don't think I would touch it without having the diff removed. Looks like you have zero room to get anything back in. This isn't ideal but since the vent is under little to no pressure have you thought about cleaning around the leak...

Building the floor inside!? That is awesome. Makes me feel better about my "small" 2 car garage turned into a shop. My wife would kill me if I tried doing something like that. Build so far looks very clean and well thought out so far, great job!

How wide are your wheels? I'm looking at getting a set of 17x8.5 but am worried the tire will look "stretched" with 265/70/17s.
