Solar panel fuse, where to put it

An inline MC4 fuse is pretty handy and inexpensive--Not as easy to disable as a breaker (when you need someone to work on your vehicle), but reliable and simple to install.

Anyone know of removeable truck topper systems

I just got a Topo Topper and they worked with me to just clamp it to the existing rails. Part of the mounting is making sure the gaskets seal and keep things dry, which can require some extra material in some parts and possibly additional sealing/caulking when it is re-mounted. If that isn't a...

Using octane booster in remote areas with my L322

I've noticed much lower mileage when using gas with lower octane than required--obviously, YMMV

2000 Frontier (Supercharged) Build and Adventures - Babe the Blue Ox

I needed almost 70K miles to bust my OME struts, the springs are still fine-- might give them a try, I'm happily on my second set.

Harker Outdoors EDC pop-up wedge camper

6.5 bed makes for plenty of floor-space in a pop-up, the tent extension probably works least badly for the Gladiator or other really small beds. Prices are more reasonable now, so one need not wait for sales...

Impressions of the current Frontier Pro-4x?

The back seat is nearly the exact size of the prior model ('05-21), the seats can either fold flat or latch against the back of the cab, but either way you loose close to a foot. Not tough to take out, the back attachments are studs protruding from the floor, which make a good attachment point...

Using octane booster in remote areas with my L322

Used to carry some when exploring in a WRX, never had to use it though. Probably a good idea to confirm with the manufacturer what the shelf-life/storage conditions are and get an accurate measure of how much your full tank would need.

    Micro RV --- Truck Topper/canopy Conversion --- 351#

Nice work, decorated too! I'm thinking you might have had collaborators! Once you can stand-up, you're probably going to make everything taller, but that looks great for a regular cap. If you're actually 3' tall, I'd keep your money.

    Canopy Camper cap/tents

I just picked-up a Topo Topper, a wedge, but they also make a straight pop-up. It is no wider than my truck but at least 3-4 times the space of a regular (tall) fiberglass truck cap. Topo will ship if you don't want to drive to them, and the quality of their work is impressive, especially as it...

Spokane, Washington, USA - All Original 1990 Mitsubishi Montero - $15,000 - Local Pickup

Is that 300K+ miles? What's the pedigree, what have you done to unnaturally prolong its life? VIN, options, what are you selling? Are you a vendor?

    Locking Air Chuck Recommendations

1/2" NPT female thread, plenty larger than the tire valve it clamps to. I connected all 4 up to a 3/8" i.d. hose, takes about 40 seconds to take all 4 of the valve caps off and clamp these on.

    Locking Air Chuck Recommendations

I just got 4 more of these for a 4-tire inflation rig, after I got one and liked it a few years ago. I've only tried it up to 60psi, but with 3 latches I'm confident that it will hold well past 80-

    CombiBoil water heater from Autoterm/Tigerexped

This looks like a great paring, but the self-preservation mode of the controller sounds really key for cold places, I'm really tempted to see if I can find the space for this. Is it correct that the Autoterm should only be mounted horizontally? Is there a min/max distance between the heater and...

    Cotton Clothing?

No brand in particular, but if you want durable cotton shirts, look at rugby wear. I got some as work shirts that just won't quit--

    Nissan titan xd rear locker

I found a rare locker for my standard Frontier diff, and though I thought it was a deal compared to a salvaged factory locker, it's taken lots of work to keep it running. Had I known, I would have used the Nissan axle and re-geared the front for it. Not cheap, but tough and serviceable, and I...
