    Subaru Ascent

Can't say anything about the Ascent as I have only owned Foresters, but I can say we love our Subaru. I bought it when my wife a '16 Forester when she got pregnant to provide her and the kiddo a safer ride. Subaru has one of the worst warranties at 3 years 36,000 miles. That being said they...

What are you using for a coffee maker and coffee brand when camping/overlanding?

Turkish coffee for when I am feeling fancy. It can be super easy to clean up or a complete pain if someone distracts me and it boils over. After having to clean up a couple times I made sure everyone knew it was coffee making time and I was to not be bothered for the next couple minutes. If...

Ram 2500 XL for overland / expedition trips

Most RTTs have enough room inside to allow you to keep all your bedding inside when closed. That makes setup and teardown much easier. I would defiantly recommend a hard top RTT if you can afford it. I didn't have the money to get a hard top when I got mine and always regretted not waiting...

Ram 2500 XL for overland / expedition trips

The weight of the pelican cases is more of a loading and unloading problem. When you get a 1660 that weighs 150-200 lbs it gets tough to get in and out of the truck due to the size of the case, if it's just one person. If they are under a cover and rarely get removed then that is no longer an...

Ram 2500 XL for overland / expedition trips

I ran pelican cases in the back of my Tacoma for years. In the end it was always a pain to get into them when I needed stuff and they weigh a ton when filled with gear. My biggest recommendation would be to buy a bedslide to attach them all to. Had I added that to my truck the cases wouldn't...

    Internet on the Raod

Look into google fi. I am not sure how well it works in Central and South America, but it works great in Asia and Europe.

I was thinking the same thing. I did a road trip in a new Ford transit and the doors on the back are so nice when you open them up all the way. If something like that was offered for the habitat I was jump on it. If not I may end up building something. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk

Would some L tracks work for ya. Then you could strap the boards down then remove the hardware easily when not in use Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
