I was just looking at the Grenadier and thinking wow 91Kcdn isn't so bad compared to 140k 392 Jeeps and Bronco Raptors, and 85K run of the mill 1/2 tons.
Slippery slope I guess.
Haven't posted in a bit, so I thought I'd poke around and see what's new.
Here's some lame driveway pics of my truck:

-Used RSI smart cap (owner ZR2 traded on TRX)/ Front runner bars/ 36" Alamosa antenna (not pictured)

350 has overloads and the stop pads on the frame for them, (as does the 250 camper package) and a taller block under the leaf spring. It’s the magic GVWR number you want, no reason to get a 250 over a 350 unless there’s tax implications or has to be registered commercially.
We have a bunch of...
VW dealer did that for my Mother when she bought a new Tiguan recently, they called her and asked if she wanted to be around when they took the protective wrapping off. Basically they let her watch and politely asked her to stand clear.
That’s a really good price for a gladiator, and a really bad price for a Bison. The Bison is 58-60 up here before incentives, I’d start at least 20% off that MSRP, with all the bad press GM has been getting with the strike and all they’ll deal. A 2019 ZR2 in Canada is 9k off cash deal plus 1250...
They probably are no doubt. The articles mentioned talk about the next gen ranger, which for us is only a couple years away. I’d assume that the next gen will have been designed with North America taken into account as well as the ROW market, our T6 based ranger wasn’t supposed to come here...
Yep, it’s in the 2020 Transit for North America, powers the ranger raptor and other T6 variants. Will hopefully be a good engine, lots of power from a 2.0TT 4cyl diesel.
I was referring to the 2.7tt v6 probably not fitting, my calibrated eyeball says the ranger bay is too narrow.
Poking around the current Ranger engine bay I don’t think there is room in there for anything other than an inline engine. It’s tight even with the current 2.3, we’ll have to wait in my opinion for a larger ecoboost option once the next gen shows in 2-3 years.
The Fronty up here is easily the...
Meh, the original VM 428 that the baby max is based on was introduced 20yrs ago in the euro version of the Dodge Caravan.
Soooo.... it’s not a car engine, technically it’s a minivan engine.?
Discuss amongst yourselves..........?
I was commenting on the quote on how the 4.3 could have evolved if it had better heads and a turbo. It doesn’t compare to modern turbo V6 that would replace a V8 today, like you said technology has evolved.
The sy/ty 4.3 still was pretty stout motor for it’s time though, a good portion were...
The turbo’d 4.3 in the syclone and typhoon made 280 understated hp. I recall they were pretty impressive for the early 90’s, mid 4s 0-60 and 13sec quarters.
They’re pretty collectable today, both the syclone and the typhoon came from pedestrian roots and I’d imagine their owners today would say...
