Take a look at the Defender accessories that I am making - Feedback appreciated.

That's what I've tried to do with my dash using the HVAC unit I got, two adjustable vents facing the driver/passenger, two lower vents above the tunnel & side vents to demist the door windows plus the windscreen ones too.... will be interesting to see how it performs. I was interesting to note...

Take a look at the Defender accessories that I am making - Feedback appreciated.

I drew it all up in Solidworks, haven't kept a total on time.... but lots of it.... I've only used RHD & new universal parts (vents, hinges etc) and behind the centre section is a vintage Air HVAC unit. I happened to have a full sheet of tread plate, and the original panels were thrashed by...

MASSIVE ambulance auction on June 18, Columbus OH

Very nice tribe, can you post up some interior pic's, please. Looks like we missed another sale in Edmonton end of last year, a few of the E450's went for under 5k, for a 2003/4 MY.

One of the options I've been looking at is a V4 clone with a Livinlite camper (http://www.livinlite.com/truck-campers.php) on the back. Once the bed side reveals are framed in & sheeted it'd make a great setup... I thought best way to mount would be a custom subframe that quick locks onto the...

Pics of your Ambulance. Post Up!

Currently in the deciding stage of what 'camper' were going to have next, so these pic's are really helpful. However, can we see more of box internals..... am starting to work on a layout & need inspiration & ideas. We really want an internal bathroom & shower for shoulder season camping at...

land rover lr3 V6 best to overland than v8 Canada

I think Mr 'Weiner' also needs to decide exactly what type of 'overlanding' he's going to do here.... we've prob covered about 10,000km on FSR's in the past few of years but most of that was weekend aways. The D2's great for weekend aways exploring the local back country, in that I mean FSR's...

land rover lr3 V6 best to overland than v8 Canada

What ever LR you buy for travel away from major urban areas in Canada, it will not be easy to get spares quickly (ie within 24hrs) unless there your regular maintenance items. If you want the convenience of a Ford..... buy a Ford. I run a '99 D2 that's heavily modified way out into the bush...

Shortening the wheel base on an E450 cutaway chassis

Can't, the chassis kicks up & over the rear axle. Prob too much work & cost in parts over just waiting for the right vehicle to show up.

Shortening the wheel base on an E450 cutaway chassis

I thought they were heat treated so welding was a no-no on them. If not then a diagional splice & fishplates is an easy job :~)

Shortening the wheel base on an E450 cutaway chassis

Hi, Is it possible to shorten the wheelbase on a E450 cutway chassis cab ? See plenty of ex-ambo's with the 158" WB but would prefer the shorter 138" as per Chris's V4. I guess a cut & shut of the frame isn't possible ? Cheers, Andy

    Material for Pop up tent

I get my canvas & sewing supplies from here : http://www.jtstopshop.com/index.asp Also look around for suppliers of military grade 'duck' canvas.... I checked out '3Dog' tents last year, there made with a very high quality mil-spec canvas... looking on their website the rolls have an 'A' logo...
