    2019 GMC Serria 1500 AT4 feedback

Well the truck has finally arrived. Picking it up tomorrow! The actual payload came in lower than expected but still well above my old toyota so I think I'll be OK. Yes, I got the Heated/Cooled seats. I'm OLD and had the money to comfort myself! LOL!!! NOW the big job begins to make my old FWC...

    2019 GMC Serria 1500 AT4 feedback

Thanks for all the information! I've decided to go GMC AT4 Duramax! I had to order it because I wanted the 6 Foot Standard bed, but hopefully it will show up before December. As I've gotten older I'm doing more overland trips than really hard core 4 Wheeling. I'm very torn about getting rid of...

2nd gen Tacoma Sport for deep snow

I live @7000 ft and deal with deep snow and chains. I have went with changing my gearing for my lift I Installed a Detroit Trutrac. This has been the #1 best mod. The electronic lsd is ok but doesn't work in 4x4. Helps with rear chains but not much when switched to 4x4. The traction control gets...

If you had to pick one: Skid plates or rock sliders?

My 2C. Skids first. I've beaten mine up quite a bit. I for sure would have damaged the exhaust that goes down low in front of the transmission if I didn't have a skid that protects that under turn. I have also landed the front hard a few times which I'm sure would of done a number on the oil...

New shoes for my Taco...Need recommendations

My vote General Tire either AT/X or X3 X3 are great for off road mud, loud on road, ok in snow AT/X are great for towing, hauling quite on road and above average off road ability. I have had both on my Tacoma and just went back to AT/X.

    Retirement truck

That's correct, out of truck you have to support the FWC floor, alot of us build dollies to do so.

    Retirement truck

A retirement truck for anyone would have to be a classic because everything now-a-days is computerized. The support for the computer controls aren't going to be as long as retirement. Therefore the best retirement truck would be all mechanical...LOL

Anyone try these two solar panels?

I have the 120w folding ECO but from 2 years ago. The panels are by Sun Solar on mine the controller sucks but I never use it because I just tie in the portable to my system when I need the extra boost. The panel output is excellent...if they are still using sun solar.

Best way to power a Four Wheel Camper?

2x solar. Works very well. I am a bit of a power hog so I went with a dual battery and solar and even on 3+ week trips never ran out of power.
