The four door Jeep pickup that started it all. Built in the American Expedition Vehicles factory, this low mileage 2015 DC350, with the Pentastar VVT is a solid, reliable piece of modern Jeep history. These rarely hit the market as most are being loved and used or are hidden in collections. They...
Sorry for the slow reply... I left into the backcountry for a bit!
Yes, 35/90 is what Earthroamer is putting on the official door sill sticker and manual for highway. It used to be ~55 up front I think. I'm not sure what drove the change in guidance.
For what its worth, on the EarthRoamer on the MPT81's, we run 35lbs in front and 90lbs in the rear on the Hutchinson beadlocks. Those are the numbers they currently publish on the manufacturers sticker in the door jam. And we run really heavy (18.5k lbs).
We're too busy exploring in cell limited locations. :) On a serious note, there are a ton of ER owners on Instagram that share their exploits, mods, and repairs. For some reason there is not a lot of action on EP. Thanks!
I'm not a buyer, rather a former U500 owner lookee-lou... but some unimog geek questions: Does the camper sit on the factory accessory ball mount points? And does it have vario-pilot?
Yup. I think they replace batteries by default on all of the their consignments. They charge alot but you get a fresh rig. I hope the old batteries went to some well deserving employees or something.
Hey Chris, #107 was the first of the bigger, and now standard, XV-LTS. Frame was stronger, bigger water tank, more solar, etc. The cab pass through is no different than our #216. It's a pretty solid rig. Let me know if you'd like to chat more on it. Thanks!
Two main reasons... 1) as our kids grew and became teenagers, the dining area bed wasn't as ideal as it was when they were small. It is one big queen-ish size bed which spans the width of the cabin. The new lay out allowed them to each have a single bed and an aisle between them which was handy...
Hey All,
We are selling our 2011 EarthRoamer as we just took delivery of a 2018. #107 was great. It never let us down. It cruises at 80mph across Nevada all day long. Tracks great. For some reason, it even tracks a bit better than our 2018. It is currently located at the ER factory in Dacona...
I'll just post it here. Hopefully not a violation of anything sacred.
"#107 was an early XV-lTS.... four big doors and 4 captain chairs in the 2011 F550 Chassis and the long camper. It has ~11k miles on it. It is a unique build in that it has a larger fresh water tank (120 gallons I think) and...
I have a new ER in Truckee if you are up here skiing... which you can probably do through July. :) I also have our old one (#107) being prepped for sale at the factory.
Yes, but the owner of Lupo Motors in Boise bought it and he may be selling it. https://lupomotors.com/ Ask for Drake. Tell him Kevin sent ya! Good luck!
