Jeep Wrangler dual battery lifepo4/agm advice?

I use a 300 watt pure sine inverter to charge my dewalt 20 volt powertool batteries, a 100ah lifepo4 battery will easily run any 12 volt fridge, I run my 26 liter fridge on my lifepo4 24/7. The 300 watt inverter will also be enough for a laptop. Its best to get the smallest inverter that you...

Jeep Wrangler dual battery lifepo4/agm advice?

for the lifepo4 you will need a coulombcounter to make sure you know the SOC at all times. With lifepo4 the resting voltage is always about 13.1 volts so you won't be able to get an accurate reading unless you have a meter that counts amps in/out. I been using the tk15 coulombcounter on my 220ah...

    Question regarding powering fridge........

The wattmeter can also be used instead of coulombcounter, they count amps used but some only count up to about 64 amps and then reset. They are cheaper and easier to wire.

    Question regarding powering fridge........

for lifepo4 batteries you need a coulombcounter to track its state of charge. Resting voltage of the lifepo4 is about 13.1 volts between 20 and 90 percent. The coulombcounter will count how many amps you use instead of relying on voltage. I recommend the tk15 coulombcounter, I been using them...

What AGM battery to repacement of old Odyssey Battery pair in my '05 Ford 6.0 L ?

Fullriver full throttle are also good batteries, they look exactly like the odesseys. 12 years ago I bought a 27ah fullriver for 40 dollars (old stock) and it still installed in my van as a start battery. They make fullsize batteries also.

    DIY Battery Box

I would get a tk15 instead of the victron coulombcounter. Its about 40 dollars on ebay for the 50amp model. I been using them for years on my 220ah lifepo4 very accurate for the price. You will need it especially on a 40ah lifepo4. On my 12 volt fridge when the battery starts getting low the...

    good news from Victron Energy

It looks like 41 amps if charging a 14.6 lifepo4 or 41.5 amps with a14.4 volts lead acid. With a 12.6 li-ion battery bank it maxes out at 47 amps. close to the 600 watt max.

Adding a second DC/DC charger on 400ah Battle Born battery bank, does it makes sense? Victron, Supertramp Camper

I would get a larger mppt controller. I have a makeskyblue 60a mppt controller on my 365 watt solar panel, when the sun is overhead it can get up to 27 amps from the panel. Your 330 watts can at least produce up to about 22 amps. On a large battery bank you want max amps during daylight hours...

    Charge lithium battery

If it doesnt charge right away (due to bms activated) you might have to use another 12 volt battery and connect them together/ disconnect right away and do it several times to get the bms to restart. There are videos on youtube that show how its done. Any 14.4 volt lead acid charger will work...

Low Voltage Disconnect alarm DOD change from 6v to LifeP04 12V

according to the 135001 manual the LVD is set to 11.8 volts. The lifepo4 BMS will disconnect long before it reaches that voltage. A 4S lifepo4 resting voltage (no load) will be 13.1 volts from about 10 percent to 100 percent. Once the resting voltage drops to around 12.8 volts your at about 10...

    System Design Help

For solar controller I recommend the makeskyblue 60amp mppt. Its one of the few controllers that has battery voltage calibration (for voltage drop) purposes. I paid 120 dollars for mine 3 years ago and has been very reliable and use it on my 220ah lifepo4 bank 24/7. For solar panel, 170 sounds...

    High output DC port needed?

As long as the 12 volt output is regulated you should be ok to run a fridge with the 10 amp output. But there are some devices that might need more, my roadpro cooker requires 12 amps. Maybe 15 amps is a good tradeoff as the minimun if your going to have a 12 volt cooker of some sort down the...

Help troubleshooting my 12v system please

On my van I have a 300ma drain on the start battery, after 2 days the battery won't crank over. I have to keep topping it off from the house battery 24/7. I couldnt find where the drain is coming from, from looking at the internet the max drain allowable on the start battery is 30ma. One thing...

Looking for feedback on OptiMate DC-DUO

The optimate seems to do what I been doing in my van with boost buck converters. 2 amps should be plenty to top off the start battery. On my van I have my 220ah lifepo4 battery bank to keep my agm start battery fully charged at all times. I have a 290ma drain in the van that drains the start...

Lead acid to Lithium Help and Recs?

If you can keep the battery inside your trailer it will be best. You can use any controller as long as you can adjust the bulk setting manually. Depending on how full the battery is you might have to adjust the bulk setting up or down. If the battery is full most of the time set the bulk to...
