I appreciate your insight! Yes, with rural practice that is one of the pitfalls I have seen others go through especially since I am strongly considering a surgery specialty as well. Our local General Surgeon is the only one for about an hour in any direction so call is especially strenuous for him. I am pat of a program supplying rural physicians to underserved areas so the likelihood of me going to an area with good support is slim to none.
