    Question regarding powering fridge........

Hey everyone, I am a kayak fisherman that is planning to fish/camp several weekends this year. I have an Iceco 45L fridge that I am wanting to power. I currently have a DIY box with a 100AH Litime Mini battery. I am primarily only concerned with powering the fridge for 3-5 days on average. I...

Jevy's '19 Subaru Crosstrek Overland Build

Quick update: Due to Corona Virus my kids had to move out of their dorm room so I acquired one of their mattress toppers for the RTT. I cut a queen sized topper off 6" from the side and the fit was great! I think it's definitely going to add to the level of comfort inside. Most campgrounds are...

Jevy's '19 Subaru Crosstrek Overland Build

So a little update. After driving around without having a full size spare my OCD kicked in and I decided to go ahead and order a matching wheel/tire for use as a spare. I also ordered a Wilco Rear Spare tire carrier for it. I liked the idea of it being able to used on different platforms should...

Jevy's '19 Subaru Crosstrek Overland Build

Ok so no pics today but I have made some progress on trimming the fender liners. I also have found the rear tire carrier I am going to go with. It is a Wilco spare tire carrier that mounts in a 2" trailer hitch and provides another 2" receiver in case I wanted to carry bikes on a bike rack or...

Jevy's '19 Subaru Crosstrek Overland Build

Things have slowed down a bit. Rain has kept me from trying out the new RTT but I'm hoping to go this weekend to try it out. Still have a little bit of rubbing and am considering just removing the inner fender liners.

so far it drives just like it did stock. I'm getting 24mpg in the city. I haven't had it on the highway yet. It's a CVT

so today I worked on a tent a little and got my wheels and tires! I had to trim a little bit of the inner front fenderwells and they still slightly rub on the front of the front wheel wells. I'll do some more work on them tomorrow.

so after moving the tent back it very much limits how much the rear cargo door can/will open. As much as I hate to do it.....it looks like I'm going to be putting a trailer together. I'm going to keep the Crosstrek for at least two more years and this is not going to work out the way it is...

Jevy's '19 Subaru Crosstrek Overland Build

So after some feedback from some experienced people with RTT's I was advised to move the tent rearward to negate any lift from wind on the front end of the RTT. So I slid it back 12" and bolted it back down. Still no word on wheels/tires. ugh

yeah in retrospect an Outback probably made better sense for me too but I do like the Crosstrek.

So I got off of work a little early and put the tent on the Crosstrek by myself. It about killed me but I got it up there. I had to buy different mounting hardware and make some brackets due to the wide yakima bars that I am using. Once I got it up there the actual mounting took about 30 minutes...

Jevy's '19 Subaru Crosstrek Overland Build

Alright well I guess it's time to start putting into motion everything I've had going on recently. I've had my '19 Crosstrek for about a year and have really enjoyed it. Recently I decided that I wanted to start on building it out a little to do some overlanding/camping etc in mind. This build...

Question for those of you with military style trailers

well I guess I'm just going to mount a battery on the side of the wheel well and hopefully people don't take it. I'm only going to be running a couple light circuits and a couple 12v circuits for charging devices and running a small fan in the tent. Hopefully it will be ok.
