Suggestions on lowering tailgate a tiny bit?

Hi all - I'm working on finishing my DIY slider rail system for my 2018 Ram Power Wagon and have hit a snag. The slider rails won't clear the tailgate by about 1/4"-1/2" and unfortunately the tailgate has a little lip at the top to make it even harder to clear. I planned to use these drop...

Rivnuts to attach DIY kitchen/storage sliders to power wagon bed?

Hi all - I've been chipping away at building up my slide out kitchen and storage rails as shown in the pic. I plan to attach them in a way making them removable without 'too much effort' and was thinking about this method below with a piece of angle iron attached to the back truck bed wall that...

Truck bed slide out build advice

Hi all - It's been a while, I built out a slide out system years ago on my bear trailgator camp trailer and really liked it. I since sold the trailer and now have a Ram Power Wagon with a diamondback hd heavy duty bed topper that I want to build out a full camping slide-out for kitchen, gear...

Weatherproof slide rail system for uncovered truck bed?

Hi all - I'm trying to find the right way to go about building a weatherproof slide rail system in the back of my truck that would be very similar to what I did for a covered trailer (see pics). I used steel angle iron to frame each slide rail and then used Orr & Orr heavy duty full extension...

Power Wagon bed height too high for slide-out kitchen?

Hi all - Kind of an odd question, but I can't seem to find any info on this topic. I just sold my rtt/trailer (wife hated it) and I really didn't like pulling a trailer around. I'm considering going with a Diamondback HD bed cover and some kind of slide-out system for camp kitchen, stove, sink...

Advice on mounting RTT to unistrut channel cross members?

Hi all - I know this maybe a very basic question, but I want to ensure I do this safe and soundly and I've never used strut fittings before. I am looking to mount my new alu-cab gen 3 RTT to my trailer lid and looking for advice on how exactly to do it and hardware to use. The plan is to use 2...

New Trailer Fridge - First trip = Exploded beer cans??

Hi All - I took my trailer and gear setup out for my first trip in it and it went pretty well but learned a lot. One thing I learned immediately is that if you are not careful your beer will explode in the fridge :( I have the new all weather arb 63qt fridge (awesome btw) and I mounted it on...

    Trailer rear stabilizer jack setup?

This is prob a noob question, but im not finding any info on it. Basically, I'm building up a bear trailersports trailgater and working on a 6' kitchen slide-out and I know when I pull out hundreds of pounds of gear the trailer is going to flip over on me. Is there a standard way / setup /...

Half way through my trailer 6' slider build - seeking advice

Got some 1/4" rivets and they seem to do the trick, thank you. Also tried my hand at some welding with a brazing rod and jury is still out on that...not the easiest to get a clean bond.

Half way through my trailer 6' slider build - seeking advice

I never even thought of rivets. Never used them either, but looking at how to do them on youtube and the one concern i see is the bottom of the rivet looks to leave a pretty long tail piece underneath. Looks like it essentially balloons it out to hold it in place, so given my 1/16" or less of...

Half way through my trailer 6' slider build - seeking advice

Hi all - I took the plunge after seeing so many great builds on this forum. I was following pretty close to some builds, particularly the parts list jlmo shared in the main build thread. My goal was to be able to do it myself (dusting off welding skills, etc) and make it low enough clearance...

    Post up your drawer/storage system

Thank you Jeffrey! I ordered those slides, just arrive today. Wow...these are heavy, 4x 60" slide rails in a box is almost unmanageable to carry! So you used 2" steel angle iron to mount the slides to for the base right. Did you use 1/8" or 3/16" thickness? I'm assuming 1/8" is sufficient...

    Post up your drawer/storage system

Yes, more pics and build info on the trailer would be awesome. It would kickstart my build for sure given a lot of the same design challenges. Thanks, JD

    Post up your drawer/storage system

I'm looking to build almost exactly what you've done in my trailer. I have the same arb 63 fridge, the yeti 1000 and i'm super tight on height clearance as well. Can you share some more info/pics on your setup please. Details on the slide rails you used and how you constructed it would be...

Diy Low profile trailer slide-out storage / kitchen out of mild steel?

Hi all - I'm trying to build out my off-road trailer and finally got some of my gear. I've been scouring the site for ideas and haven't quite found what I am looking for or maybe overlooked it in the vast amount of awesome builds. I'm hoping to get some advice on the slide-out design. I'm...
