    Flippac Info?

They must be be assuming the torsion bar or hinge is already broken in these instructions. If either are not broken or only partially broken you'll have to relieve the torsion before you try to disassemble. -Jason

Heater Selection and Diesel Air Heater Install into Flippac

Hey guys sorry I must've missed the thread reply email notification. Highwest, If it's not too cold I just use the silicone elbow for simplicity. If it's around freezing I'll route a hose to point it towards the bed area. If it's well below freezing, I'll hang a towel or blanket from the...

Heater Selection and Diesel Air Heater Install into Flippac

It does quite well. When it's in the single digits I wedge a towel between the tent and support and route a flexible hvac hose underneath. This saves fuel and battery and give a little better distribution in the sleeping area but it's not necessary.

    Lets talk heaters

Hey guys, I did a write up on a diesel heater in my Flippac on a Tacoma and why I chose it even though the truck is gas. I hope you find it of use. https://expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/heater-selection-and-diesel-air-heater-install-into-flippac.218007/ Cheers, Jason

Heater Selection and Diesel Air Heater Install into Flippac

Ideally you want the inlet air to come from the cabin so it doesn't have to warm up the outside air but since the heater is already inside the camper, no ducting was required. For the warm air, I didn't want the...

I considered many options but to get it up and running I decided to give the included tank a chance. I made brackets to mount it to the bed rails, again out...

Heater Selection and Diesel Air Heater Install into Flippac

In researching how I wanted to heat the Flippac camper I found much information about heater selection and options but not too much information about installing them in pickup based campers. I hope this gives you some ideas. I'd also like to share some of my thought process and research but I...

Any updates on a replacement tent? For those with the SLO rainfly, do you notice if it holds in heat much better than the factory rainfly?

In Bed Tacoma Auxiliary Fuel Tank

understandable. It would be super simple to install though and I think it would double as storage. With these trucks, as I'm sure you are fully aware of, it's hard to find a good spot to put a second tank.
