    Parking heaters at altitude

All this talk about PDMs and bluetooth.... you guys are complicated... We still rock the old gravity LP sealed burn unit. Zero electronics, just set the 2-wire t-stat and walk away. Uses no electricity, and essentially silent :)

Frirstone Air Bags + 1000 Pound Camper = Broken Tundra Frame

From what I gather, yes. Remove the large flat bottom overload, and add 4 leafs to the existing master leaf(s).

Frirstone Air Bags + 1000 Pound Camper = Broken Tundra Frame

Ive been in contact with Boise Spring Works about our truck and rear leafs. So far Ive heard nothing but good about them. They do communicate well. And by todays standards that's a great start! I've been chatting with Michelle via email about options. Ill likely upgrade our rear leafs to a set...

Jeepster Commando Build - A Different Sort of Jeep Thing - Stoffregen Motorsports

It looks like they are hosted on Photobucket. Photobucket has a pretty ugly history with hosting and use in forums (specifically) Not sure as of late, if they have changed things... it may just be a temporary hosting issue. Personally, I prefer Flickr. Not nearly as social media friendly for...

Probably the best steps I have ever seen

Love to see the price tag on all that stainless goodness. A good looking setup, but couldn't be cheap! Our aluminum version that folds and slides into the bed certainly works well. It does require legs to hit the ground though.

Why are most aftermarket wheels so BroDozer?

Not to state the obvious.... But are we really complaining about wheel design all the while knocking the "bro-dozer" scene??? Do you realize how hypocritical that is? :ROFLMAO: I understand that many wheels are ugly as sin. But unless you are as concerned about looks and silly trends as the...

Counts as clothing, right? Pup Collars

Follow up with this one... I wound up going with a martingale from CDPETZ Well made, inexpensive, and stylish for this silly dude. Highly recommended (y) His dark brendle coat works extremely well with plaid ;) I also added a custom ID badge from his puppy collar, attached with rivets and...

    Paint or other coating options

Sorry, but it wasnt (entirely) directed at your issues. More in general, with regards to the discussion about adding (whatever) to paint/coating

How far should I trim my fender back for chains?

Certainly one way to do it. Adds weight too. What do you use for tensioning? Everything is a balance. I only run cam-style as its a guarantee for me that they are wicked tight and stay put.

How far should I trim my fender back for chains?

Yes, stick to proper chains. And if you run them regularly, invest in a proper chain repair tool as well. (y)

How far should I trim my fender back for chains?

lol You do realize that you were the one that said this right? All I'm saying is that is not only unrealistic, but wrong. And it is. Your last post just supports my stance.

How far should I trim my fender back for chains?

I already told ya' You said less than 20mph I said double that ;) Which is far more realistic than a 20MPH (or less) max limit. From what Ive seen, most chain MFGs for cars and light trucks recommend a 30-40MPH max limit.

How far should I trim my fender back for chains?

OP, if you want great chains that are easy to install and tension tight enough to not worry about body damage, I say go for a good set of cam-style chains. You can get them tight enough with just the cams that running bungees are not even needed. They are great insurance, but are not needed if...
