My vote is go find an 03-06 Suburban or Yukon XL with the lowest miles and use it for years! They are only slightly bigger than the Tahoe and you will appreciate the extra room with kids and a dog on a thousand mile road trip. It will have a lower departure angle but in reality it doesn't keep...
Thanks for the info!
Wow it is tall! And heavier than I expected.
At that price though you get a new camper instead of a 15 year old FWC so it may be worth the little extra height to get a brand new camper.
Thanks for the response. Sidewall strength is a big deal to me having ruined quite a few tires before switching to three ply tires on the rigs that I run off highway. I have the max on my suburban and love them. They do better than I thought in the snow and are the perfect tire for medium off...

Would you mind sharing the CAD drawing for the frame mounts? That would be a great...

I'm 6' even and spent a week sleeping in the back seat of my mega cab last fall. It sucked! Had to sleep angled to almost fit and sometimes prop legs up on the front seat to stretch out. I'll try to get a measurement this evening of the platform the seats make when folded down. No mods necessary...
