Haven't slacked on working on the Troopy... or on taking it out for trips. Rebuilt the transfer case and re-sealed the transmission. Installed a heater. Refinished my dash. Finished my interior panels and wired in lots of accessory ports. Cleaned the interior roof and sound insulated...

Exploring the Saddle Mountain area...

Have started taking the Troopy out as our only vehicle... went up on the Mogollon Rim to harvest a Christmas tree.

The Troopy has been getting some maintenance and updates/upgrades here and there... New water pump, fan, belts... New exhaust from the cat back... Replaced the switch assembly... Installed a new washer reservoir and motor...

I bought the truck knowing full well that it was going to be a project. That was, in many ways, the point. I like to tinker and DIY. While it doesn't cost a lot to pick up a used Troopy in the Middle East that is old enough for import whatever you find will have been worked hard for those 25+...

All it really takes is a vehicle older than 25-years and knowing someone abroad who can arrange to get export documentation put together and hand it over to a shipper. I've imported six cars to the States now... it isn't too bad.
