I have been using Fluid Film for the last 4 years on my current truck and 3 years on my truck before that. The stuff really works awesome as long as you put a lot on and often.
I just changed to PB Blaster Surface shield last year on my wifes car (new first time undercoating it) and that stuff...
Judging from historical posts from you, I find it interesting you are thinking about going back to a Ford. You sure seamed to hate that truck while you owned it.
Topper looks great, sorry to hear you are having some leaking issues. Mine will get damp if I park in a way water runs and pools in lower areas and its pouring out but I believe its through the tail gate area mostly.
People say those are the best.....Yet once we bump up to 3/4 ton there seems to be so much hate for IFS.
I clearly have IFS and have been a fan of it so far. Just makes me chuckle sometimes with these "die hard off-road expedition" builds that see basic dirt road camping.
I like it. Sharp looking truck.
People seem to discount the GM's with independent front suspension because its not hard core enough, yet we spend 99% of the time on dirt roads and pavement and IFS rides SOOOOOO much nicer.
We see far more rams and fords needing front axle bits replaced then GM isf at work. People think that a solid front axle has so many less parts to wear out but that's just not true (well sorta is if you take two sides into account). The ISF seem to hold up longer in normal every day driving...
