    Help with insurance

OK, so we registered our E350 van with a CC poptop as a camper van. Now we can't get an insurance company to insure our van. We have tried numerous companies and they keep denying it in underwriting. They will not tell us why. When we had the van registered as a cargo van (even though it had...

    Rear leaf spring advice

Thanks for the info. Alcan looks amazing may check them out to see what they could do. Just trying to fix this current issue knowing I will be lifting the van in the next couple of years. The statement about overload capacity is interesting. From stock weight is there some type of standard...

    Rear leaf spring advice

2001 Ford E350 EB with leaf springs that are pretty much flat. The van weighs in at a svelte 8100 pounds and the rear weighs 4700lbs. This is with 3/4 tank of diesel, driver and no other occupants or loaded with anything else that what is carried in it everyday. When I add passengers and load...

    Rear Leaf Spring?'s 2004 Quigley E350

BRP, wanted to follow up and see how everything turned out with the new leaf springs. Think my rear springs are shot and looking to do something, just not sure what. Is your van the EB or standard? What if anything are you carrying on the bumper? Thanks

    Tire Cupping

Thanks again for all the replies. Here is the game plan. Find out the part supplier for the ball joints and see if they are the problem. Double check the steering linkages, think there may be an inner tie rod that has not gotten changed with everything else. Then have the front end aligned...

    Tire Cupping

Was reading another thread and was wondering if the high pop top from CCV may be affecting how the suspension is working? The Bilstein shocks maybe over worked with the high top and the change in center of gravity?? Would going to a heavier duty front shock help? Or I could be full of...

    Tire Cupping

I have heard that with the suspension design and the weight, these vans are not tire friendly. Thoughts on rotating the tires from drivers side to passengers side on occasion. Pains me greatly to see them wearing this fast.

Crap, I got sealed beams on my E350, anything I can do to make my lights much better..

Bought these on Amazon. Haven't used them that much, but a significant difference in light out put. Easy plug and play. If they last, well worth the price. And they look really too. 2018 New Osram Chips 110W 5x7 Led Headlights 7x6 Led Sealed Beam Headlamp with High Low Beam H6054 6054 Led...

    Couch Bed ideas

Here is what we did in our van. Welded this out of 1" 18 GA tube. I only made it 5' long, wish I would have made it a bit longer.

    Tire Cupping

Thanks for the replies. Here is a picture of tire - passenger side front. The one in the rear has does not look this bad, but what ever tire is up front this is the problem. Drivers sides is not as bad, but still doing the same thing. Hard to tell from the picture, but the inside of the tire...

    Tire Cupping

Looking for some wisdom on a tire cupping issue I am having with my 2001 Ford E350 with 7.3L. Has new ball joints, wheel bears, tie rods and center link. Front end has been aligned my local tire stores. Running 265/75/16. Bilstien shocks (which have about 15K miles on them) with stock...

Ford 7.3L E450 Box Work Van

Here is an interesting option for a van. Already has a generator and what looks to be AC for the box. https://cherokeeautogroup.com/inventory/26559/view/2402/Canton-GA/2001-Ford-E450%20Commercial

    235/85r16- who's run them on an E350?

265/75 16 Cooper AT3s on my E350. No rubbing issues at all. Running stock rims. Would like to upgrade to a little wider steel wheel. Coopers seem rock solid but they are a little loud running down the highway. Bilstein shocks at all 4 corners.
