Yes, I cut the factory cover with plans to build my own and a swing arm. I decided against it for now to keep the weight down. What you see is just the factory steel bumper that sits underneath the bumper cover.

    2006 LR3

It is with a heavy heart that I am selling my LR3. 2006 Land Rover LR3, 140,000 miles, meticulously maintained. No trades, no low balls, serious inquires only. Asking $9,800 I bought this vehicle in 2009 from Land Rover New Orleans, certified pre owned. I sold it to a friend while I lived...

    Aftermarket radio help/Spiral Audio

That's correct. I believe this is the best kept secret for our trucks. I've searched for years to do an upgrade like this and was more or less told it wouldn't work. There's a long list of manufacturers it will work with and the instructions are fairly clear on which wiring set up you connect...

    Aftermarket radio help/Spiral Audio

I didn't have nav or the upper screen, so I didn't loose any functions other than the phone answer/hang up buttons. The volume and clarity are awesome, way better than the factory aux port or any BT transmitters I've tried. The phone calls are clear and the folks on the other end can hear me...

    Aftermarket radio help/Spiral Audio

The total package for the wiring harness was $367. That includes the dash kit, wiring harness, fiber optic module and steering wheel control module. It’s pretty straight forward. The only splicing is from the harness to the dongle of whatever head unit you buy. Then it’s all direct plug into the...

    Aftermarket radio help/Spiral Audio

So, I am officially in the 21st century. One of my frustrations with my LR was the lack of compatibility with modern day radio/blue-tooth systems. I found that Spiral Audio makes a wiring harness as well as a module for the fiber optic amplifier and the steering wheel controls. They sent me...

    Aftermarket radio help/Spiral Audio

They got back to me and determined that it is due to a faulty Fiber optic module they sent me. They put another one in the mail today. Once its in I'll do a post about it. I absolutely love my truck and am very much a function over fashion mentality but a decent radio with car play, bluetooth...

    Aftermarket radio help/Spiral Audio

Hey guys, long story short. I purchased all the necessary wiring harnesses from Spiral Audio for my 06 LR3. I got the fiber optic adaptor for the factory amplifier and the steering wheel control module. I hooked up the Kenwood head unit and walla. It powered up great, the steering wheel controls...

    Does a 2” coil spacer exist for 2008 Lr3 w AB 2” coil conversion?

I did exactly that. Looked super cool, didn't work super cool. I ran it for about 3 months, and put some serious mileage under it. The biggest downside was the total loss of downtravel to the point where my TC was kicking in on the road going around corners because the inside rear tire was...

LR3 Air to Coil conversion.....one year later.

Here it is. The mysterious unicorn. I did the OME HD +2. Then for ********** and giggles I put the SYA spacer kit in it. Results, Pros: it looked awesome, drove great. I actually liked the road manners better as it was a bit stiffer. Cons: lost almost all down travel. In corners under fairly...

LR3 Air to Coil conversion.....one year later.

Yes, I got the OME HD +2 kit. It definitely didn't give me a full plus 2 and I would like a little more lift, but it is what it is and I'm willing to live with that. Truck rides and handles plenty good for me on the street and hammers it offroad. I don't drive it like most folks and it has...

    Tech gurus, advice needed

Yeah, Thanks @Howski . It does have the rear and I've been running something similar. I'm not much for modern vehicle creature comforts but I can't argue with the ease of a modern bluetooth car play set up.

    Tech gurus, advice needed

So, I'll preface this with, I am a tech idiot. I've done some searching but haven't found anything that really has convinced me. I have a 2006 LR3 (no nav). Who here has done and aftermarket bluetooth radio setup, preferably with apple car play? I went on Crutchfield and it shows they have...

LR3 Air to Coil conversion.....one year later.

2x what @Ray_G said. I have an 06 on the +2 OME HD coils. I have made multiple cross country trips hitting some pretty zesty trails and passes with a family of 4 and our pooch. To say the vehicle had some weight in it is an understatement. I also regularly tow my 24ft. fishing boat which...
