it holds a set speed under 20 MPH. It does so with brakes and transmission. I believe it actually independently brakes different wheels which can't be done manually. It's a few hundred bucks- and if you don't want to use it- don't engage it. That's the conclusion I've come to.
That last answer you posted on the other thread after you posted here is what I was looking for. Thanks!
I just didnt know if there was a downside and hadnt heard back on that last point. I want to wrap up the order.
I got some good info on my other thread about planning for bigger tires.

I plan on upgrading suspension and was advised passingly against ordering FX4 if that is the case.
FX4 is $500
My concern is I will lose hill descent and skid...
If I don't order the FX4 I also lose the Hill Descent Control and the skid plates- I don't see another way to order skid plates. I think the locking rear differential is independent of the FX4? Is that correct?
If I pay the $500 for the FX4 for the hill assist and descent control is there a...

I'm getting an 2023 F-350 to put a Scout Kenai on.
Any reason to get the $280 Power Take-Off feature?
Can I charge the Kenai by plugging it into the Pro Power Onboard? Worth getting?
Also considering adding the factory winch.
Input appreciated.
I'm seeing new trucks listed for $20k OVER MSRP at dealerships.
I'm seeing used trucks with 80,000 miles for selling for same price as MSRP new.
If I custom order a new truck from ford- can I expect everyone to charge me over MSRP- or is this crazy pricing for people who "must have it now!"...
What truck should I get for a Scout Kenai truck camper?
I want a full ton and 8 foot bed so I can close the tail. 4x4 a must. Room for four.
Probably a Ford- but convince me otherwise. I have a Ram 1500 Ecodiesel now- but probably going to go gasser. (PS- my 1500 has a payload of 891...
New to site.
Anyone run this setup.
Good idea? Bad idea? Does it reduce tongue weight much? Benefit would be maneuverability and turning radius
Pros?
Cons?
