I would really like to see those videos of the soft shell tents as well. Especially the nomad 160. They seem to resolve a lot of issues with the soft shell tents. Quick setup, much better cover to deal with, no fly to flap in the wind, and I really like the setup with the two doors.
Ok so...
Looks like all the negative aspects of the flipac has been resolved with the Habitat. Still a year or so away from a 94 Toyota extra cab resto and have this on my radar. Will these be available for the older Toyotas and still have the ability to transfer to a newer Tacoma if one day I decide...
I have a 94 extra cab with the 22re and feel it is a great setup for expo travel. Doing things the hard way to learn about the vehicle even if it takes years to get to where the truck needs to be.
I have gone back and forth with the idea of a flipac, rtt, or a commercial cap. Having gone from...
Read the whole thread and really surprised not one mention of the cooper at3. Still in the build up stage (94 toy xtr a cab) and go back and forth from the st maxx bfg commercial traction ta and the at3.

ARE has a new diamond plated edition which is .062" thick and with the straight walls and enough height maybe in the 29 inch range would make a great stealthy camper.
I go back and forth with the commercial cap and some other ideas for my 94 toy pickup and then I'll see another picture of a...
Good luck and great to see your Adventurous spirit over on this forum.
A year or two and lots of money away from completing my truck. Hope this event will be around like your Roaming Rally.
Your a great contributor to the Adventure World!
What I will be using is four inch pvc pipe which will give you .6 of a gallon per foot and set it up gravity fed along the side of the interior of pickup box with a filler threaded cap with easy access for topping up and valve on the bottom end. Plan on four feet which will give me 2.4 gallons...
A great idea but by the time you pay for your shell with the lift camping walls and something to sleep on your very close to the price of a Flippac.
I keep going back and forth from a commercial cap with the straight walls to a Flippac hoping by the time I have gone through my 94 toy extra cab...
Really nice looking truck. Been following you guys for some time.
I was curious about your own truck with the ome rears springs and the height you initially got out of them.
Reason being is I am building an expo rig out of a 94 extra cab. It has the bracket lift up front for now but I need...
