You are correct. I have a BMW HP2 I would like to take but a hitch carrier on a unibody vehicle is not a good idea. The MG and the BMW Boxers are wide and will need extended hitch. The further the hitch gets, more stress on the van.

Mine is ordered with a delivery of 11/20. Done deal at $101K. My hitch carrier should be fine for bringing a motorcycle. The hitch included is rated for 500lbs, my KTM 525 is only 250lbs. Should be fine.

The 45/70 is the right bear medicine but 20 years flying bush means packing light. My 500 SW was made for this task. Interested in autos? I wouldn't recommend it for bear, but you could do worse than the 10mm Glock. Excellent for social work, as well. Hiking in bear country...

The bed by Disc-o-bed is high quality, mil spec and a bit pricey. But less than the race trailer couch/bed. Easy to set up and allows me room for a motorcycle or ATV. No middle legs so it clears the fender well.
