Water shoes (not the crappy mesh/rubber ones)

Finally got to test my altama low cuts yesterday. One cool thing i have never seen mentioned is that they float! Even if you fully submerge them, they will float up to the surface! I will say, they let sand in extremely easy, so if that bothers you might not be the best shoe. I have some high...

Help getting dog to climb into rooftop tent

Yeah the slippery surface is for sure hurting his confidence in climbing up it. I would try and address that first (cross slates, grip tape, etc) You need to approach this in steps, don't try and get him to climb right up that off the bat. Lay it on the ground and get him to walk across it, so...

Water shoes (not the crappy mesh/rubber ones)

Thanks for adding your review to the thread stumpy! So i got the 12 and 11 wide today, and here is the deal. The 11 wide alleviated the crammed foot issue, but there were some odd issues with it that made me end up choosing the 12's. For some reason my heel sat much higher in the wide shoe...

    Wet weather jacket advice please

If you are looking for something "bomb-proof" and affordable, check out some military clothing options if you can live with camo/drab colors: - ORC Improved Rain suit (jacket and pants) - PCU or ECWCS Level 6 Garments (goretex rain jacket and pants) ORC Improved rain suit is nice and heavy...

    Socks

Do the Costco merino's come in various cuts and weights, or just one style?

Water shoes (not the crappy mesh/rubber ones)

Got my Altama OTB low cut "boots" today, fit is VERY snug, should have listened to the amazon comments. I ordered my size (11) and they fit like a glove without socks, a very form fitting glove that is. With socks on they are way too tight in the toe box. Even without socks i think they are...

    Socks

Darn tough's are expensive but your paying for the lifetime warranty that comes with them. As long as you dont lose them, you have socks for life.

    Socks

Darn tough in various weights and cuts. Once i tried a pair i threw all my cheap ************ cotton socks in the trash. They are expensive at 20$ a pair but you never need to buy a new socks again, once you wear a hole in them or damage them somehow send them in to darn tough and you will get a...

Water shoes (not the crappy mesh/rubber ones)

Thanks for the feedback DD, i ended up getting a pair of them should be here for the weekend to test out swimming :) I was thinking the high tops would be better for keeping stones and stuff out of the shoe but i really only plan on using these exclusively in the water so if i am going to be...

Water shoes (not the crappy mesh/rubber ones)

Sandals are definitely a no go, i'd rather deal with wet socks when i know i'm going to be in and out of water and can just wring them out when i get on land. I can't think of a scenario where i'd prefer sandals over wet feet in shoes.

Water shoes (not the crappy mesh/rubber ones)

Appreciate all the feedback guys. I stumbled across the arc'terx acrux approach shoe which looks like it might also be a good contender. I am a size 11 US, so maybe the techAmphibs will work for me, i like salomon shoes and their mid height boots i have.

Water shoes (not the crappy mesh/rubber ones)

Looking for a suggestion on some "water shoes", and not the crappy ones that are all mesh on a rubber sole you slip into. I am looking for an actual shoe that designed for constant in and out of water. Salomon seems to have a few offerings: XA Amphib - Looks like a running shoe made for the...

Need help choosing new truck tire

Yeah i am living with the speedo issues now, it reads about 5MPH lower than my true speed at highway speeds, which is probably screwing up the mileage calculation as well so who knows what mileage i am truly getting. (can they adjust the truck computer for tire size so its accurate again when i...
