It does well for a big ass van. Lockers would be cool, but it gets around on it's own pretty well.
Not that Engineer is a 'difficult' route, but our Sprinter did it with no drama at all. (one of many places we've taken our van around CO and WY).
Nice work as always! Though as clean and professional as your install is, I'm still glad I ordered the factory Aux Battery. I don't get a Lithium, but the 95Ah AGM has been plenty for our uses. (we had a 74Ah setup in our Syncro that never ran out of power either)
I also mounted a Blue...
Week of Camping and biking/hiking in Crested Butte. Such an amazing place.
Exploring with my 10yr old while my wife and 17yr old rode the 401 trail.
Dark, new moon skies (had some good shots of the Neowise comet too, but no van in those pics)
I installed a speaker in the slider on my build as well, but I had to run speaker wire down the wire track that follows under the slider step and into the door (a bit of work). I guess the passenger van has contacts, and the cargo (what I started with) does not (?). The Passenger model...
I’ve cut a LOT of 80/20 and all kinds of other other aluminum stock with my dewalt using the same blade as Hodakaguy - no issues, just don’t feed the blade too fast
I remember all your powder coating in the syncro build - awesome!
Our insulation looks very similar, except in a low top. Thinsulate is great to work with.
We 'sign our work' in hidden places behind panels in our van (our names and year the work was done), which looks a lot like your donated Thinsulate piece - This is all around our house as well.
It's pretty close...
Sprinter with 'low' range has an overall gearing of 20:1 in 1st (first gear w/o low is 14:1), the 10spd awd ecoboost transit has an overall gearing of 17.5:1
^^ both with stock tires
I think a typical E350 setup would be ~22:1 in low (but I'm no E350 expert and know there...
^^I guess it's an interior space thing (Sprinter/Transit vs. E350 converts/awd GMC's).
I know that is why I have the van I do. Among a few other reasons.
The AWD transit will fit the needs of many, and I'm happy they are putting out an offering.
Awesome shots dude!
Any hints, tricks, or high-level advice for astro photos? I'm just getting back into photography after 20+ years of hiatus (and I was an amateur then anyway). Settings on some of these shots?
My big draw back was night photography. I just got a Nikon D7500 for my b-day...
