Hi All,
I've been researching the TAT and plan to do it on my DRZ400S in July this year west to east. It is looking like I'm going to have to go solo but would much prefer having someone else along. I thought I would check here to see if there was anyone else interested in making the trip and...
Quite possibly so. I'd be interested to see what you're thinking for trips. We've done a little (very little) traveling on our DRZ400 and it is a little "cozy" with our gear. Depending on the trip, we'd be interested. FWIW, we're in Bend.
Hi Everyone,
I have a built out 1994 F350 type 1 ambulance with a 7.3 IDI and my best mpg is just north of 13. I keep looking at that big flat surface of the body above the cab and wonder how much fuel I can save by changing the aerodynamics. I spent a bit of time digging around on the...
Thanks for suggesting this stuff; never heard of it before. I was in HD yesterday and saw this: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Super-Glue-1-in-x-10-ft-Black-E-Z-Fuse-Silicone-Tape-15408-6/204237144 . Looks like the same stuff but a little more inexpensive. Cheap knockoff or real deal?
Hi Jaunt, we're not there yet but the weather up here in OR is turning so my wife and I are heading south in the next couple of weeks or so. We are just finishing (hahahahaha) Ver 0.9 of our 1994 Type 1 Ambo build and have no concrete plans except we have discussed spending some time in El...
I've got an ambulance body 4x4 F350 dually that I am building up and when I bought it this summer it did not have a spare, so I bought one. Since then I have spent way too much time thinking about the best place to put it and how to secure it. Lamenting this in a conversation with a friend he...
Had an issue right out of the box
Before you buy a new switch, call tech support. They are very helpful and when I was having issues with my 7622 they sent a replacement immediately. Lifetime warranty!

Thanks everyone for their input. I will definitely look into a latex option. I'm not worried about the weight but rather thickness. It seems today beds are ridiculously thick. Why would I want a 10, let alone a 20 inch mattress? I'm looking for comfort in 4-6".
My wife and I are in the planning/gutting phase of a Type 1 ambulance conversion and can't seem to find much info about beds. Ideally, we'd find a "real" mattress with a width between a twin (38") and a full (54). 48" would be great so I am thinking we need to go some sort of custom route...
My wife and I would like to get to mainland Mexico next week (last week of Dec. '15) but the only available ferry from La Paz goes to Topolobampo, which I would much prefer to do with another traveller or two. Interested having another vehicle with you? Let us know!
