I don't see an issue. Heat rises so you're likely not going to get a ton of downward heat transfer. If you have an air gap and reflectix between the two, it is not likely to create any issues. If you wanted to (and can), you could put a thin wood shelf with a thin aluminum sheet on top of it...
That is very weird for a shock to break. Typically that is due to reaching the mechanical limits of the shock (topping or bottoming out). I have run Bilstein's in 17 different vehicles and have never broken one, nor have I broken a shock in any of the 59 vehicles I have owned.
That totally sucks! It's one thing to have a part go bad, as even new stuff can be bad but to have that many wiring issues from the production side, very sad to hear.
Back in the beginning of days of FiTech, I got their very first GoStreet EFI injection system. After almost 8 years... it is...
Not much to update but I did swap out the fog lights. I installed the Diode Dynamics SS3 Pro fog lights but found they were way too bright for normal driving use. Back roads with no other traffic, they were awesome but daily, around town/traffic use, they were just blinding. Decided to swap...
If cost is no concern, I would talk to the folks at Dynatrac and have them build you a custom axle. I believe this is what EarthCruiser is using for their Isuzu platform.

Wow, that sucks. I have had mine a few years but haven't used it nearly as much as my project vehicle is way behind. I have used it in my more "daily" 4WD vehicles. I found out after the first of the year, they stopped selling the backup cameras. I happened to find two of them (forum and FB...
Good luck with the sale, bummer to see it go.
To anyone looking, Gear (Justin) is a very meticulous person who has built out some awesome rigs. Attention to details it top notch. Zero reservations of buying anything from him. Truly a fly in, drive to your next adventure type rig. If I was...
My guess is folks are trying to find an under bed/stock location tank and not a tank that sits across the bed like a tool box. Also note this info about California, from their page.
NOTE: Due to the California Air Resource Board (CARB) regulations, we will NOT offer gasoline auxiliary fuel...
In my experience, those weight are never correct. A full wet weight is almost never listed and is typically a dry weight. Dry weight is meaningless. Full wet weight with all of the actual items in the actual camper are the only true numbers that have any meaning. My Northstar TC800 listed...
Not so much a teardrop but this was a Kamparoo clam shell style trailer we used to pull with our Cherokee. These were out in Death Valley area. The one pic is going up Mengal Pass.
Yeah, I saw this pop up in a FB ad. I was like cool.... until I saw the interior height of 65". My M1010 ambo had an interior height of 65" and it was the biggest PITA. Not tall enough to stand upright. I did a roof raise of 8" so I could stand up. Made a world of difference.
It think...
