    1st gen 1 - 1.5" lift?

Just an FYI you'll run into the same issues with travel on the 5100 as with a spacer lift. In terms of geometry they both basically make the shock longer (one at the top the other at the bottom). IF you lift you will likely need UCA, go with SPC or camburg. I would go 5100 over spacer lift...

    2005 Tundra with 165k, Thoughts?

They hold their value quite well. Depreciation is the biggest loss of money known to man, literally. a used 10k tundra will sell for 5-6 k in 5 years. A new 30k tundra will sell for 20k or less in 5 years. You have to facor in repairs, etc. Financially speaking a used reliable truck is...

    2005 Tundra with 165k, Thoughts?

Seems slightly high, I've seen some real steals on CLIST recently. 1 owner 110k miles, 2005 4wd for 8500 (was sold within minutes). CA prices are a bit higher. I've seen some salvage junkers for about the same price. If its a good deal it will sell within hours. If its been listed for more...

SICK *** deal onTJM recovery kit on ebay today only

It looks like the recall does not affect this kit. Additionally the issue is the text on the box was wrong (I'm certain 99.9% of people throw away the box anyway). "Consumers should remove and discard the outer cardboard packaging of the product. Inner labels and instructions are correct."

Realistic price point for a 3" lift on a DD?

I did 5100s all around and UCA for less than 800 bucks (installed myself on a gen1 tundra but similar for your taco). Allowed a 2.5" lift up front (hassle to change height though, a threaded body seems so much nicer for a dual purpose rig). UCA gave me more droop/travel. My 2 cents, its a...

    "Budget" Vehicles for DD/OL/Expo

I love my gen1 tundra. About the size of the new Tacoma or canyon. V8. Can be had Cheaper than said mid-size vehicles. Reliable. I have drank the Toyota Kool-Aid and swear by their reliability but at the end of the day it comes down to who owns it and how is it maintained. I had my ford...
