    2022 Nissan Frontier unveiled

I don't know that it's much more rugged. Still unibody, FWD but they did ditch the CVT for a 9 speed. I haven't seen any real numbers for the Pathfinder as to whether it will have any modicum of offroad chops. I meant more some of the angles and design pieces reflect a connection.

    2022 Nissan Frontier unveiled

I do see a lot of Tacoma in the profile of this Frontier. Good or bad, not sure I see any really design connection between the previous generation Frontier and this one. The 2022 Pathfinder seems to do a better job connecting historical "design lineage." I know some are design agnostic, function...

    Full time 4x4 frontier possible??

It looks like a used ATX14b transfer case can be bought for about $250 from LKQ. I haven't looked across the Frontier or Xterra forums to see if anyone has tried this swap but @broncobowsher brings up a good point about the ECU. Wouldn't it be great if it's that simple...

    Full time 4x4 frontier possible??

I would think your best bet would be ATX14B transfer case and ecu from a R51 LE Pathfinder. I can't imagine the parts aren't interchangeable. It would almost definitely require some re-flashing at the dealership.

    Which EV would you buy?

It has a hybrid mode. There is a gas only mode, an electric only mode and then a hybrid mode. Rated at 50 mpg equivalent. It does seem overly complicated for FCA but I appreciate their effort. Meanwhile Toyota, who is the king of hybrids, just adds new colors to the 4runner/Tacoma. 4xe makes me...

Wrangler 4xe PHEV drops Thursday with availability in December. I wish more companies were investing in PHEV models.

Nissan to Nissan: traded my X for a V8 Pathy

I recently finished a trip in a 07 V6 Pathfinder from Washington to Kansas with three adults, two dogs, and some extra stuff because I was moving. I have a hitch rack though which really opened up the interior space. Spent about 3 days on BLM/forest roads and the stock ABLS proved sufficient...

Thoughts on the current generation Armada / Infiniti QX80

My local dealership (Olympia, WA) is running a little over 10% off MSRP right now on their Armadas.

Thoughts on the current generation Armada / Infiniti QX80

No, but it certainly would be nice if the Armada got the Patrol running gear aka beefier diffs and lockers

Thoughts on the current generation Armada / Infiniti QX80

The Armada runs the same front diff, R180, as the V6 R51 (2005-2012) Pathfinder. The rear diff is the R230 which was in the old Armada and V8 Pathys. The R180 have some known weaknesses/limitations but I haven't heard of any issues with the R230. @leeleatherwood 's build thread (Page 1, Post...
