LR4 Hidden Winch: HF DIY Install

Just a suggestion, but consider mounting a fairlead (bolting two together) on the inside of the bumper skin instead of the bar stock you used. You would also be better served using something like this (http://www.mcmaster.com/#unthreaded-spacers/=12qiivb) in a larger diameter and appropriate...

    Lift rods vs GAP?

I use rods, rhino spacer setup, and gap IID. I went to the spacer setup as I've had bag air-downs happen due to faulty height sensor reading. At highway speed, you can't stop fast enough before the tires rip into the inner fender liner, among other issues.

New product from Proud Rhino! The SYA Off Road Extension Kit

I had this problem for some time. However recently it has gone away. I'm not sure if it is a result of the suspension needing to cycle to get a baseline or what, but my access height works perfectly now with the kit. Maybe some collaboration is needed with the GAP guys who have dug deep in the...

Need Advice About Welding on an LR4

The liner is a thin plastic, so no surprise on the burn. They are cheap to replace if that happens. I had to swap out my rear liners after the tires chewed through them on a full bag deflate at highway speeds.

Need Advice About Welding on an LR4

Same here on my LR4, cut down and reboxed the frame horns. Disconnect the battery.

    LR4 Cell Phone Mount?

I use a Wilson cell booster/mount - mounted to the vent vanes on the right of the steering wheel. Really don't miss the air flow coming out of the vent.

    LR4 Auxiliary Light Switch Options

The funny thing is this is the same location the instructions for the LED daytime light accessories tell you to use.

    LR4/Discovery 4: School me?

I offroad an LR4 and have a close friend who does the same in an LR3. Both are great platforms. Just buy the newest one you can. Can't go wrong.

New product from Proud Rhino! The SYA Off Road Extension Kit

Hey Zel, am I reading this correctly that when you put the limiting straps on in the front (spacer was already in place), that at that point is when you experienced the lack of access height/extended mode situation? I actually really want to solve this as I drive in the city and the lack of...

    Swing away carrier for LR3/4

I have kaymar with a modified swingout spare arm (to center the tire). The only wrinkle I've run into is the challenge of using a bike rack with a swing arm design. So I chopped and modified a yakima rack to swing to the LHD side instead of RHD.

New product from Proud Rhino! The SYA Off Road Extension Kit

I have the same access height issue, just goes to extended mode each time it lowers. The cross axle error is either an issue with the tire air pressure (higher on one side) or the height sensor itself.

New product from Proud Rhino! The SYA Off Road Extension Kit

You are not wrong. It goes on the top of the control arm, on the sway bar bolt. Quick question. Is anyone still able to fool the EAS into lowering and staying in the parking/curb setting? I'm unable to get it to stay there and the EAS always shifts to extended mode when it lowers.

    LR3 rock crawling carnage

Interested if there is a difference between the struts across models. My LR4 which is heavy, is very under dampened as well. Drives me crazy on crappy roads.

New product from Proud Rhino! The SYA Off Road Extension Kit

Did the install on my 4 today. Went fairly well overall. Took about 3-4 hours total, and is much faster once you've done one side and figure out the process and tools needed. The nuts on the shock tower tops are 15mm and you will need/want a ratcheting wrench for it to go smoothly. For the...
