Four Wheeled Nomad: The Mega Transect in a Toyota Hilux from Norway to South Africa (Formerly Two Wheeled Nomad: Antarctica to the Arctic)

I think we know the answer. And it goes for you and Jason. I have a year left living in Germany; if you guys need anything from southwest germany, don't hesitate to reach out. In the mean time I'll look fairly silently at your shenanigans and continue being proud of you two for first...

Four Wheeled Nomad: The Mega Transect in a Toyota Hilux from Norway to South Africa (Formerly Two Wheeled Nomad: Antarctica to the Arctic)

I guess it's polite to thank you for sharing your adventures and lives and photos and stories. But I have to tell you it runs deeper than mere appreciation. What lies within is a cocktail of jealousy, admiration, fear and excitement. The jealousy might be obvious but the jealousy is not...

Australian and British bloggers arrested in Iran

breaks my heart but also makes me scratch my head. People need to grow awareness and shake of naiveté with regards to 'how people are in the world'.

The Trans America Trail in a 2019 Ford Ranger

I just see things, brother. :-) Then I say things. ha! :) Cool. Really liked your trip report, btw. I'm stuck in europe where there isn't much in the way of 'overlanding'. Road trips are the best I can hope for - so i appreciate getting to live vicariously through well-written and...

The Trans America Trail in a 2019 Ford Ranger

last thing - Do you have traction boards? Have you used them? I love 'em. The way you take photos - I used to do this and made for neat results...remember those little ladders that folded into thirds or fourths, but when locked-out straight was like 10feet? It had hinges and what-not? I...

The Trans America Trail in a 2019 Ford Ranger

By the way? If Tim McGraw and Michael Keaton had a baby, the baby would look like you. Great story-telling - and i'm glad you told the story with video to augment the photos and writing - I think the photos and writing are probably the best - but adding a little video is a nice addition.

An adventure in northwest Montana in late summer

best part is, by the time i get back to the states I'll be pretty close to 50. The other aspect I was too skeerd to mention: Its nice thinking at 50 years old life still is going on. :D

Colorado - full locking dif vs. auto locking dif

Here's a vote for letting the driver decide when to have things happen. Auto-dimming mirrors (which have never worked as well as simply flipping a little tab on the mirror), auto headlights, auto wipers, auto locks, auto-everything. Instead of not-having-to-think about it, youd likely become...
