Thanks for passing those along Squatchout. I've really scoured the web for info. While there seems to be a lot of positive talk about the Malecite, the isn't much out there that's in depth. I can't being to count the number of times I've watched that YouTube video...
It's interesting to me...
Thanks Squatchout!
Well, since yesterday was something called "Bachelorfinaleday," I got to put a coat of wax on the Malecite. She REALLY shines now. I am still impressed with her condition, and I have to continually remind myself she's 22 years old. Hopefully she paddles better than my '89...
Depending on the diameter of the Gobi tubing, you might look at these:

I know I'm not the only one using them, and I have yet to find fault with the set up.

Guys,
There are plenty of threads on the subject. The vast majority of them are locked. These conversations are against the forum rules. Might want to take a look at the rules.

Thanks Haggis!
Oh ya, we have a pair of old sit-on-tops for banging and scraping our way down the 'hooch. Mary's dad has an adventure 14 canoe (poly) that we can use, too. This is going to be for that big, flat water. I can't wait! It's hard to tell in the picture, but it has the...
Yesterday Mary and I hauled home a new-to-me (1991, MINT condition) Mad River Canoe Malecite in Kevlar... 16'6" 47 pounds. I'm really excited about it.
A little back story- We bought it from a 75 year-old gentleman in North Carolina. He purchased it new, on September 28, 1991...
Thanks for the bump!
I think $60 is pretty fair... I have a 10lb. Powertank mounted in the truck, so this is my "spare air." If it doesn't sell by this weekend to help fund the canoe, I'll probably just keep it. I have an old bar fridge for sale on craigslist, too... Maybe there is a DIY...
I've got a Six Six One MTB helmet, and a set of upper body armor for sale. The stuff was used once, on a trip to Northstar @ Tahoe. Never crashed, perfectly clean inside and out. $100 and $60 respectively, or $150 for both. Helmet is a Large, and the armor is an Extra-Large.
I might ship...
I called Airgas this morning. They said they don't refund deposits. So, the tank is still for sale!
I'm trying to buy a canoe this weekend... :snorkel: So if you're interested, shoot me an offer before Saturday and i may just take it!
Thanks,
Dan
Hey thanks for the heads up! No, I didn't realize that there was a refundable deposit. The tank came out of my dad's shop, and all he said was he exchanged it at airgas. I sort of assumed it was like a blue rhino propane purchase/exchange. I'll check in with them. Thanks!
20 lb. Co2 tank, ugly but functional. No regulator, just a tank, with plastic handle. Aluminum tank, tare weight 25 pounds. $60

I am in Roswell, GA. Not looking to ship.
Thanks!
