Welcome Back--nothing like time away with the family.
Now back to work as you've have Vans on the lifts, no doubt needing your expertise.....
I can think of one in particular (LOL)
Toolman---go easy now
I am not talking about your build. You did not start the thread.
If you did not understand the point I was making then perhaps others may be confused so I will make it again.
I was able to build a brand new (FRESH) 4x4 SMB by starting out with my used SMB 2WD version...
Sounds like you are have educated yourself enough to know that used SMB's in the 2004 range with under 100,000 miles run in the $45-55K range. Turn key ready to go. With all the goodies that you will no doubt want but not want to pay retail for.
Having said that when build your own you get all...
congrats on a great ambo. Looks so clean. plus you made the incredible drive without incident.
May I ask what type of price range they are in for similar 7.3's with no apparent issues?
I just don't know if it is something I can afford to entertain.....
thanks....and great find...
one busy shop !!!
Chris, just want to check in and see how you are doing on the conversion.
Know you are hard at work and the orders keep coming......
Looks like I have a window in Mid July around the 15th, to head out and pick up the VAN if you can sort it all out.
Love to make it happen...
what kind of rv you looking for
YOu asked for opinion on Rv to buy.
you might want to list what you will be using it for on or off road
what length and what price range with list of must have's in it.
do you need separate sleeping bed or fold out couch to serve.
do you want full bathroom...
Sportsmobile has a great setup where they put in under floor storage as you mentioned. Most come without a locking mechanism but that can always be changed.
Chris at Ujoint is not offering that as a option and they look great plus not much more than doing yourself when all said an done.
Have...
smaller tires
Hi There,
Followed your build and think you did an incredible job. Love the rear dinette and fold down bed
it makes.
I see you changed to smaller tires. I also have a slider and was going to get 17's thereby having to have
the slider door extended.
How do you find the smaller...
thanks for clarification.
I ordered the K4300 bulb.
Here are the choices they indicated on their web site:
2 HID Bi-Xenon Telescoping Bulbs that are made from the best laser cut glass, are aligned with extreme accuracy and do not emit any ultra violet light that can damage the headlight...
I would just drop it off at Ujoint and let Chris at Ujoint do his magic on it. I have found from others that at the end of the day
it does not cost much more to have the master (Chris) do the whole job in and out the door ready to be used without any
issues popping up down the road.
Money well...
Please forgive my ignorance.
I don't know what "K's" are in reference to??? If you let me know I will inquire
Other members of the sportsmobile forum were helpful in recommending these to me.
I would think that once Chris at Ujoint installs them he would be happy to share his thoughts on...
I just replaced the sealed beams in my 2000 E-350 with this set up from
Highperformancebulbs.com
You can email them and they will give you other ideas but this one worked best for my purposes.

aux tank
OK Sounds great. Having a gauge is always best for my small brain, but I don't know how much more involved that is over an external float gauge on exterior of tank.
Either way works for me as long I as I can get a reading someway somehow.
