@VerMonsterRV what Shocks did you end up using ? I've been waiting for Fox for almost a year and at this moment giving up. I will reach to King do they have. Have you found an optioin for yourself ? If yes, how is it riding ?
Doing some deep google search here is what i found:
"The compressor is a Wanbao ACV35DC and is identical to a Danfoss Secop BD35 . Wanbao is owned by Matsushita Electronics which is Panasonic. Every Panasonic fridge or air-con has a Wanbao compressor. "

I would not mind replacing the controller and the fans to be 24V and have it fully 24V.
Motor can be ordered straight from China.

On my design I'm planning on 100micron pre-filter to remove sediments before the tank, from there shower water goes straight to use, kitchen/drink water will go to 3 stages filtration something like 30micron then 15micron then 5 micron charcoal activated that should remove the chlorine.
I will...
On my build I'm adding some electric floor heating to the build, it will run free on excess solar. So far I've 3 items to warm up the unit.
1 - Coolant loop using Diesel heater or engine coolant line. (Kalori Silencio)
2 - DC heat pump 24V DC AC Unit.
3 - 24V DC Electric floor heating filament...
Anybody out there using a Dometic DMC4101 ?
I'm very curious if anyone got it to run on 24V DC. From the Dometic website the compressor seems to be an Wancool ACV35DC which is 24V DC capable.
This fridge besides being cheaper it's larger, features independent temperature control for fridge...
I'm wondering if anyone is using a Dometic DMC4101. It has a single compressor but dual temperature zones. Additionally auto defrost gets turned on in performance mode.
It shines with great price and large size.
From the Dometic website the compressor Wancool ACV35DC seems to be 24V compatible.
An ESP32 could be used to read the bus and provide a report on fridge temperatures at the same time be used to tweak temperatures like making it quiet at night time and cool more during peak sun, so it stores thermal energy in the freezer when batteries are already full.
A breakout board like...
I just found Danfoss Secop compressors supports LIN protocol to control parameters and you can even use the LIN protocol as a external controller.

It feels like the easiest method to hack the fridge is through it's LIN...
Great work. That's a lot of work.
I've been wondering if the danfoss compressor has a LIN or CAN Bus port so something could be tweaked like a thermostat bias. I've seen a guy that sells a smart thermostat kit for the Danfoss compressors: (...
@RAM5500 CAMPERTHING really appreciate your time posting your experience. I think I'm in the same page as you are. I echo your words on the experience with GXV. On Box Manufaktr I didn't have an issue with communication, however the price was significantly higher.
I didn't understand your...
