Really for added cargo space and a little weight reduction. Want to be able to store stuff like tool rolls under the plate and maybe in the future provide a possible platform to sleep inside the Jeep.

yea that's why I am getting this installed. Goose Gear setup would put me over 1K for the whole thing, this is around 500 bucks. Wish it had the cutouts like GG but I'll take it.
