Expedition JK Rubicon project. Self sustainable check it out

Interesting ideas but without upgrading to dana 60's it'll either bend or break an axle housing. I just recently took my JKUR to the CATS scale to get a weight as we're looking at buying a new car hauler. My JK has basic mods, lift, tires/wheels, front and rear aftermarket bumpers and tire...

JK 4-door to 2-door long wheelbase conversion.....

My last Jeep was a TJ stretched to 115" WB, pretty much the same as a 4DR JK. We did have a rear seat in it for the kids, but accessing anything in the backseat area was difficult. Even if you don't need the rear doors of the JK, it's nice to be able to access stuff in the front of the rear...

    Rubicon Unlimited vs Unlimited Sport

Like most have already said, it's going to depend how you use it. I use my JKUR for running trails from mild to wild. Living in the west we love to explore old mining camps, ghost towns and the like. Some of these camps can be up some very steep and eroded roads. Lockers are great for rocks...

Underseat Water Tank for JK Unlimiteds

Interesting idea but we usually have the rear seat folded down for extra storage when we're off road. If the seat is up it's because there is someone sitting in it and then we need the underseat area for extra storage. Not sure how many overlanders would trade the extra storage gained by...

    The Biggs Family Overland Unlimited!

My 3 kids grew up in the back our our 4WD's. Changing the twins diapers on the Rubicon was a little tough, but like Colorado Jeeper said, once you find your groove the experiences you'll have together will be worth it. Mine are now 20, 17, & 17. We have a JKU and the kids have 4runner's &...

Roof rack or hitch cargo rack

It has many configurations. For that trip we ran the "summer" set up, which has the rack bolting through existing holes in the factory roll bar. Spacers were used to level it up.

Pic needed! White JK with Khaki soft top

I've never seen anything other than black on a JK. Khaki tops (hard and soft) were pretty common on white TJ's, that'll give you and idea.

Roof rack or hitch cargo rack

There are a lot of things to consider. How often will you take a week long adventure with the whole family? How big is the dog? Can the dog ride in the 2nd row with the kids? How big is your tent? Do either of you tend to over pack? Do you have a camp kitchen with all the items you need or...
