My experience from living in Alaska: The white "Bunny Boots" are very warm, as long as you keep your feet dry. They are technically vapor barrier boots (VB boots) so there is zero permeability; change your socks often. Also x2 on the mukluks. What I saw was that people would wear the mukluks...
