Front or Rear locker, but not both

Thanks for all the input. Doing both front and rear is just out of the question right now. I will lock the front if I do an axle swap later. I have been known to use brute force and wheel spin to get over obstacles. Watching these overlanding videos on the youtubes has really made me want...

Front or Rear locker, but not both

I am in the process of my first trail rig build, which has been excruciatingly slow. I have welded on my IRO axle truss front and rear, they have been blasted and powder coated, but before I put them back under I am going to install a set of 4:56 gears and a locker. I had planned on putting a...

    Wrist watches for the adventure-minded?

My wife bought me a Luminox Recon Pointman for my birthday 2 years ago, and have proudly worn it almost everyday since. My wife asked me to stop wearing it to bed, because she says "it's to bright at night". The wristband is the only complaint, and I have ordered a nylon replacement.

    1993 work Jeep build

My wife brought home a 99 Xj a couple months back, I crawled under it last week and found some frame damage as well. Love surprises! I am a huge fan of the BFH, which I would use here for sure. I would not heat it, but I would try and work the metal back to its original position...

    Beginner bike for a non-enthusiast

New seat was the first thing I did on my new bike. I finally decided to buy a Ergon, they have a machine you can sit on and it gives you seat options. I do own a pair of padded shorts, but rarely wear them. I wear jeans, work pants, 5.11 pants, cargo shorts, but never spandex. Mammoth cave...

Triple crank is nothing the SRAM NX Eagle group set couldn't take care of. I am probably going to upgrade my wifes RockHopper with it this year.

I have become more active this year, and joined SW KYMBA too. They are the ones who sent me to become certified with National Park Services as a Sawyer for trail maintenance.

The 29er is more forgiving, than the faster rolling 27.5, but honestly it comes down to what feels better for you. Don't get hung up on wheel size. I noticed a huge diffrence in ride quality when I went from a coil sprung shock to an air shock (Suntour XC to a Fox Float 34), and being able to...

97 locked LC in Pascagoula MS

I have no ties to the dealership, but the guy was really good to work with, just thought I would spread the word for him. I passed on it today, I had been talking to the guy over the course of the week about it. From the pictures it looked pretty nice, it did have a dent in the pass side...
