2012 Wheeled Coach Ambulance Tall Box off 2012 Duramax Single Cab

Yes it is, we are parting out the truck but taking care of the box. If you have a cab and chassis that this box will fit on it is a chance to get a build base at a fraction of what it would cost for something like this new. Let me know what questions you have I will do my best to answer them.

Dad, what's a back country beater? What will your kiddos remember later in life?

This has turned out to be far more fun than I ever would have expected. People approach us every where we drive it, they love it, laugh and wave when we drive by. I don't know if they're laughing at us or with us, don't care, we're having fun in it. We're very lucky to live in the woods, can...

Dad, what's a back country beater? What will your kiddos remember later in life?

Lol, I've lived out here in the rust free Southwest almost all of my life so have never had any of those issues except the one time I went to New Hampshire to visit a friend. I left to drive his Jeep XJ to town from his cabin and ignored the note that said don't forget the plywood. The first...

Dad, what's a back country beater? What will your kiddos remember later in life?

Thats awesome, I like how this has brought back memories. I remember what an amazing feeling it was to drive as a teen, freedom, Im a man, girls and so on lol. My daughter was driving us to and from the lake here where we live with like 1.25 miles on a remote county road at 35mph. She asked...

Ambulance Camper/ Expedition Rig Conversion FAQ

I used seats from a shuttle van, they come in rows or 2-3, they are high backed, recline, arm rests, are heavy duty, have built in seat belts and attach to a flat floor with massive backing plates. Look for normal extended vans that were airport type shuttles, the seats are far superior to factory.

Dad, what's a back country beater? What will your kiddos remember later in life?

My shoes? Not sure I understand that comment. Nowhere does it say I am destitute or near homeless. Thousands? $2K is not a lot of money and around here (Durango) that car would bring $3,500 just as a 4wd toy in like one day. Maybe I'm misunderstanding something but so far I'm really enjoying...

Dad, what's a back country beater? What will your kiddos remember later in life?

I was born and raised in Yuma Arizona for the first 13 years of my life so childhood desert adventures really hit home. It is stuff like that that shapes them as an adult and later as a parent. Some of the stuff my kids think is the most fun cost almost nothing, that's the beauty of being a kid...

That's awesome you still have that car, those are the modern equivalent of a flat fender Jeep although now antiques in their own right. I totally have Barn envy.

Dad, what's a back country beater? What will your kiddos remember later in life?

While we were parked at that creek, my oldest asked if it would be okay to sit on the hood. I could not have cared less, absolutely, sit on the hood, knock yourself out. She and her sister sat there for a good hour just chatting girl talk. That moment would never have happened on the hood of my...

Dad, what's a back country beater? What will your kiddos remember later in life?

Nice! Great pics. If that smiling kiddo is driving that samurai then he's driving a stick shift even more awesome! That's the good stuff right there! We forget how magical this stuff is to kids. The first time my daughter drove up in Bonanza Colorado at our property was in an old XJ. When she...

Dad, what's a back country beater? What will your kiddos remember later in life?

We get so caught up in our toys, we forget they actually are just that, toys. So, last year cost a lot, wife and I separated, lost my little brother, lost 70% of my income, lost my dog, lost my best friend of 30+ years and then the IRS dropped in, all on a single Dad with 2 little (8/10 yrs old)...
