Mostly the bike gets used for running errands into town. The 606 that's on the rear has been fine other than being noisy. The xr is heavy so it didn't see much single track. Most off the trails I ride are adobe or compacted granite.

I used to keep my stuff in the cab like the OP, then I rolled my ranger. After getting clocked by my compressor and having my max axe land in my lap I decided that that was a bad idea. Fortunately I only ended up black and blue in a few spots. Now I have everything tied to the floor.
