Ram 2500 gasoline extended gas tank help

When I had an aux tank in the bed, you could smell gasoline on warm days. I'm not usually a fan of California's "extra" rules compared to most states, but I can understand how they got to this one. I DIY'ed a charcoal canister that helped a little bit, but didn't totally fix the problem.

    Superduty seat question

With the flat floor, I'd think your worst case scenario is the seats get raised ~1" if you have to build adapters. I wouldn't be surprised if they just dropped into place.

    F-150 vs F250-350 SD 1998-2003

The V10 power bump is nice, but the exhaust manifolds are a huge mother-effer to keep straight. If the V8 has enough power for you, I can't think of a reason the V10 is better. Both are fairly easy to work on.

    flatbed storage box

Build an angle iron subframe of sorts for the boxes with stakes, so you can drop them into the stake pockets. Put a bolt in the middle stake so they don't bounce out when you hit a speed bump at 100 mph. If the boxes are empty, they can be swung on and off in a couple minutes if you have a...

    F-150 vs F250-350 SD 1998-2003

I've owned both. The differences are pretty much what you would expect. The F150 rode nicer, and the turning radius was significantly better. The F250 has a solid axle and leaf springs under the front end. It rides rougher than the F150, but way better than the OBS solid axle trucks...

That bed is amazing. It can't be easy to come up with such a useful design that still looks good.

Ram 2500 gasoline extended gas tank help

If you're willing to give up some bed space, a gravity feed auxiliary tank is a very simple and usable solution. Mine is set up with a motorized ball valve, so I don't have to fiddle with a manual valve. It automatically closes when it loses 12V, so you don't forget and dump gas on the ground...

    Project "Autonomous" F-350

Besides needing a solid mount, are you happy with it? I've been interested in buying a similar set up.

    Service truck bed toppers

I've never done it, so I can't speak from experience, but it should be doable as long as you aren't afraid of drilling a few holes. You would need to get a topper that sits flat on the bedsides. Some toppers straddle the bedside rail. If you were willing to trim the fiberglass, that style...

    Project "Autonomous" F-350

I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure the bolt pattern from the 460 is different from the mod motors and all of the diesel motors. I don't think you're going to find a better motor to bolt to your existing ZF5. If you want to do a full drivetrain swap, check out fleet auctions. Lots of high...

Question on Logic of Swapping 20” OEM Rims on Superduty for 17” Rims

I think the steel wheels Ford offered were 18". Look around and make sure that 17s will fit with no brake caliper interference. Aside from that, larger tires need less air pressure for a given load, so they often do ride softer than lower profile tires. They will be less stable laterally...
