Any input on Portable Fridge/Freezer Units?

Another vote for Engel, I have the MT45 and it’s fantastic, ultra low draw and so well made. Also parts and accessories are easily available. I’ve had mine for 15 years and it’s never let me down and used every day!

Overland in France, Italy & Switzerland

    Stoves??

There must have been an air leak on my original stove from day one, the new (dual burner) works a treat and only pump the once!

    Stoves??

I did, believe it or not a I bought a new Dual fuel stove, I nearly bought the same stove as you, it was on offer in Costco but as you have mentioned the bottles would be the issue. I’m currently in south of France and used the Coleman almost every day using Aspen 4 fuel and it’s fantastic.

    Solar panel?

So the time has come to look into solar panels. As time goes by I find myself with more electronic gadgets and to be honest I like it, so the demand for more power is ever increasing, when I say more I mean longer lasting. In my Defender I have a yellow and red top Optimas which work really...

    Sleeping bag or duvet?

Thanks for the info, I have purchased a Robens coulee 11 sleeping bag which unzips into a duvet, when zipped it has a great amount of room and rectangular not tapered. The fabric is very soft and not cold to the touch and not to bulky either. I’m currently on an overland in Chamonix France and...

Same here, Engel MT45 purchased 16 years ago and has been used in the house and on overland (I’m currently overland now in Chamonix) pretty much since! Amazing and apart from my Defender it’s the best bit of overland kit
