Why did you choose those over the new BFGs?

TX: Land Cruiser Sleeping Platform/Drawer System

This is a nice cargo drawer system for an 80 series. It mounts in the factory 3rd row seat holes so it's secure. It has a front section that goes over the 2nd row seats (when laid down) and makes a sleeping platform. The front section has a secret compartment as well as holes for woofers. If you...

Looking at a 91 FJ80 this weekend, need advice

I think he was saying that mid year 1992-1993 the model changed. Yes, FJ80s are 91-92 and FZJs are 93-97. What the 3FE lacks in power in makes up in durability, reliability and simplicity. I have driven numerous cruisers and the 3FE does fine. As I tell people, it's a "LAND CRUISER" not a "LAND...

Looking at a 91 FJ80 this weekend, need advice

Slee's site is good info, start there. In general, 80 3FEs are slow but durable. Birfs and an axle job are not bad and not too $$$ either and you could do it in a weekend, many write ups on how to do it. They do get cracked heads if they overheat and that can be a pricey repair. If possible...

Nate's 100 series family camping and DD build

Interesting. When I had my diesel excursion, I would go to the beach and run my ARB fridge all day. By the end of the day, my batteries (there were dual since it is a diesel) were both dead and needed to be jumped. Based on that, I'd be inclined to put in a low voltage cutoff to prevent this.

Nice truck, it's a twin of mine! Question on your fridge- what are you doing to prevent the battery from dying since it's always on?

TX: 2000 Ford Excursion Limited 4x4 with 7.3 engine

SOLD!! Reluctantly, I've decided to sell our 2000 Ford Excursion Limited 4x4 with the legendary diesel 7.3 engine. This has been a great vehicle for us. I have always tried to use OEM or better parts. The 2000 is the best drive train out there due to the fact that the 7.3 engine has forged rods...

    Finally al L.C. owner

Congrats. Not only did you get a very clean low mileage later model, you got a poverty pack one- cloth seats and no sliding rear glass windows. It does look like you have a sunroof though. I suspect that the original owner had this built to order from the factory.

The PRINCESS's INTI Roof Rack, A One of a Kind

I have a truly special and iconic rack, the INTI rack that was on the infamous Princess. If you do not know the Princess, search or google it. If you don't know what an INTI is, again search/google that, this is arguably the best roof rack out there and INTIs are now unobtainable. I picked it...
