    Where’s the KLR’s

Finally somebody gets “it”. Bonnie Chance you’re right on the money. I’m gettin up there in miles run(age) and have realized my ADV’s mostly one small trip at a time too. It’s a little easier now with all the monkeys out of the house but there are some weekends the body has slower plans. But...

    Where’s the KLR’s

I subscribe to, and regularly visit multiple online Adventure Motorcycle information sources. As a KLR owner I actually obsess on anything pertaining to adventure travel on two wheels according to my wife. My budget and free time allows me to only live in this in online dreams mostly. The thing...

    Series 100 research

After reading again EXPO’s Top 10 Overland list from 2011, we are researching what may be our last vehicle as we go into retirement. The series 100 gets high marks in just about every category we can think up, just as Scott Brady did in 2011. Think mostly double track, forest service road, day...

Everybody has one “opinion on lifts”

I have found in the past that when it comes to lifts, especially hybrid types, customer service is huge. How many times have we heard the story about one sides coil is lower(sags) than the other. Company says send it back and we’ll make a determination. Meanwhile you only have 3 corners operable.

Everybody has one “opinion on lifts”

Voodoo Ranger is headed right where we want go. This will probably be our last Jeep as we are approaching retirement. The plan is to tow the Jeep behind our RV and use the Jeep for day excursions in the northwest so sleeping out will be minimal and probably a ground tent on the occasion that we...

Everybody has one “opinion on lifts”

Didn’t see where AEV built any XJ stuff. Teraflex does not post a lift package for an XJ but has some stout looking parts like control arms that I may need down the road. Another way of thinking is with 31’s and F/R lockers it should go anywhere we want to go. Don’t plan to mount a winch due to...

Everybody has one “opinion on lifts”

I agree AEV has a great reputation just didn’t know they built XJ gear. I’ll check.

Everybody has one “opinion on lifts”

As mentioned before we are looking for our next and hopefully last Jeep project so the idea is to go quality and stout. At our age the rock crawling is long behind and a remote walk out due to a breakdown is not an option. Think built to take on any forest service two track regardless of...

    Jeep paint

Very nice blue which is one of our favorites. Your right though, the right Jeep may only require a good buffing/wax job

    Jeep paint

Nothing fancy only solid Just wondering if I could get away without the extra labor cost of doing all the door frames. Seems that would be a significant labor savings

    Jeep paint

Starting to look for our next and possibly last Jeep as we’re nearing retirement. Think of a rugged but reliable xj build. Most xj’s for sale need the paint refreshed and that’s my question. I know that a paint change is costly due to the work involved with door frames and such. But what about...
